Misc C21 exemption in Ontario?

I've seen tons of posts about BC and AB, but does anyone know how to go about getting one in ON?

Is step 2 an actual step ? How do you borrow a gun

I believe some ranges have pistols that they’ll either rent out or let you borrow. If you know someone with a pistol I think you can also borrow that. I believe there is a form that allows for long term loans (6 months iirc) but I think there are some conditions that apply.

I’m sure I’ll be corrected if I’m wrong, but I believe that as long as the “borrowed” pistol is delivered to a range by an appropriate method, you can use and possess it for the day while at the range. It would have to be repossessed and transported back to its owner’s storage location appropriately afterwards. Even if you didn’t have an RPAL, as long as there is appropriate supervision present and someone is willing to take responsibility for the pistol and you, like at a range event, this could also work. I believe the issue is mainly with transportation, not possession.

The owner of the firearms needs to be there and is almost treated as if you’re supervising. If you’re transferring it to another person or club without your supervision then an ATT needs to be issued. They cannot legally transport the firearm back to the storage location without an ATT. The ATT is essentially saying the firearm that was issued to the original owner is now with this other person or entity.
