Your bipod is being used in an unstable way. The legs would be better forward facing so that the rifle pushes back towards your shoulder as you lean into it.
Having the bipod legs rear facing as you have here, makes the rifle want to pull away from your body when you're aiming. It leads to an inconsistent position for each shot.
I bet simply adjusting your rifle/bipod/body position will lead to more accurate shots/groups.
Its literally not designed to have the legs within the position your description. Its a budget Caldwell with just two positions, closed, and deployed. I do not have disposable income for another right now.
I do not know why people are down voting my comment for a mechanical reality of the bi pod I currently have.
I have a UTG 360 bi pod, it does allow this, but its incredibly short i find, i should have gotten taller one but I am also injured so laying prone with a bad shoulder isnt possible for me.
My practitioner told me not to allowing my shoulder to rest. I cannot hold the rifle off hand at all right now since left shoulder complex got strained being offensive tackle.
Well I happened to find a stainless steel one locally in a gun shop, I recommend having those over the blue ones but relatively speaking they seem to be fine. I think the stainless steel ones function better because they maybe are using a higher quality Steel. Plus they don't tend to rust being stainless.
My 1022 gets this when the mating section where it accepts the extractor get fouled up. I've swabbed out big dabs of lead out before it startimg functioning again. This is after firing Remington gold bucket. Cleaniing it restores functionality, never had an issue with CCI ammo.
I wish I could provide feedback you'd have to research using like AI large language models possibly. You could create like a library of all the videos for reviews for the rifles with notebook LM and ask it if there is any sort of comparison between the two.
Yeah AI hasn't been a huge help unfortunately haha when I type into google. It basically just summed it up as B22 is a more modern stock design. Your Mk2 looks sweet in that chassis though.Â
Ever had any issues with the mags? I've heard that's one of the biggest complaints with the Mk2 is the mags vs the newer rotary on the B22. Im pretty tempted by a MK2 FVSR just like yours
I fixed mine and I’ll tell you how to likely fix your extractor issues , you need a second spring on top of the one the rifle came with , they are a little black horse shoe looking spring with some grooves In It that for the extractor . You need to get a second spring and file it a little so that it fits over both the extractor and the other bit on the other side of the bolt . The extra spring tension pushing the extractor into the rim has made these types of failures virtually non existing. Hope that helps
I literally actually just tried to call Savage Canada to try see you about getting extra extractor's plus an extra spring clip to actually do this trick because I'm aware of it. But it just literally went we have to have a call volume and click in my ear basically. So I'm not exactly happy at that. I either have to email them which I know will take them about a month to reply or whatever I don't know.
Well sometimes they can produce something pretty cool, this thing does one Moa nine-hole groups with the right loadings. I just hate the stock it doesn't fit me.
