Gun and gear reviews KR22 Final Review - Range Day

Finally took out my Kral KR 22 to the range today, and I could not be happier. For a gun that only cost $279, she shot absolutely amazing, surpassing my expectations. Here’s the full breakdown:

- the stock mags are shit, invest in a REM 597 adapter and REM 597 promags. The mags will need to be broken in with some use and maybe some oil

- I fired over 200 rounds and maybe had 10 misfires at most. I tried minimag CCIs, stingers and blazers, and I would definitely recommend the minimags. I shot 100 of them and maybe had 3 misfires

- for a 22lr, this thing is pretty accurate, I attached some photos of what I shot at 20yds

- overall is a very smooth lil plinker, would def recommend to anyone new or on a budget

Setup:
- kr22 OD colour
- Rem 597 adapter
- (2) promag 597 22rd mags
- kill house airsoft red/green dot
- cheap ahh laser at the bottom

Yea they’re really hit or miss. Mine were awful until I broke them in with some use and some oil on the springs

Damn, well it’s always good to have another decent tactical .22lr semi on the market. I feel like this things are very much going to be hit or miss on quality. Hopefully I’m proved wrong

Yea I’ve heard these kr22s and the mags are very hit or miss, but I haven’t seen it yet

I fired 330 rounds out of my Ruger 10/22 yesterday and got 1 misfire from a 597 stick magazine, and 5 from a 597 drum. All failures were FTF where the bolt smacked into the cartridge denting it. The approx 80 rounds through rotary mags had zero failures. Is that good?

I was on the fence about getting one of these just to have cause they are cheap but then I stumbled across the northernrim bolt action for similar price also takes 10/22 mags maybe I’ll get both 🤷‍♂️

The KR22 naturally takes 10/22 mags lol. I just put in an adapter so I can use unlimited cap mags

What does the magwell look like? I'm wondering if my RF224 couplers work in this too.

Thanks! Doesn't look like it'll work, looks more similar to the 10/22's tight magwell

Yes, I have two versions of my coupler: One for 10/22 and one for RF224 (same thing but has a rear piece). The rear piece keeps the magazines much more secure. The RF224 has a different mag release and has a big gap at the rear, allowing this extra piece to fit in.

The sale has ended, so it’s like $50 more
