Application / Regulation advice home defense and Verney-Carron Flash-Ball

i was wondering with the violence increasing (i am in montreal, people break in houses is increasing) why Verney-Carron Flash-Ball is not allowed?

I check the law and I saw the joules etc but can we decrease the PSI of it? I know they're mostly associated with law enforcement in some countries.

just wondering if a company had release a news for an equivalent.

I was wondering about using non lethal ammo in shotguns for this, but to the law, it is all the same. The answer is no, self-defense in Canada doesnt exist

Well, self defense kind of exist, but it's very open for interpretation.

If someone break into my home unannounced, threaten me and looks visibility agitated with any weapon ready to go, I would say all the bets are off.

Little did he know that my place is litter with stuff coz I like to hoard camping gears, including carpenter axe, machetes and various hunting knifes. They are just my camping tools and I can freely to use them at home. I mean if he just walking in with a stick then maybe I will use badminton or tennis racket or a hockey stick.

If he comes in with an edge weapon, then my axe, machete, and other items probably becomes a necessity.

If it's a group of guys coming in, plus some of them have deadlier weapon or firearms. Well, then I have some shotguns to choose with #4 buckshot. If I get to them in time.

All the mean time I have a camera pointing indoor to show that I have exhausted the means to leave but they just won't let me.

Now when the police show up, there is a 99 percent change that I will get booked, if I survived the ordeal. But then hopefully the firearm legal defense insurance would kick in.

I couldn't care less about the money, but more the preservation of life when possible.
