It's a GOYOJO GRL-335 4-16 thermal. It's an absolute hoot, and you can even see subsonic rounds traveling downrange through it on cooler days, which I find highly amusing.

You should get the AR style top charging handle kit for it. By Alex's homebrew. It totally changes the feel of the rifle. So much smoother and less janky feeling. And it makes it ambidextrous.
Alex's handle isn't reciprocating, meaning the default charging handle is still handy as a forward assist if you have a sticky feed. I may replace it with something else at some point, but having something to push on the bolt with is occasionally handy.
Gotcha. I basically figured if shits not going down the pipe right, I probably need to inspect it and possibly clean it or repair something, not jam it in with an assist. Lol I can always reattach it if I need to manually push the bolt forward for some reason. 🤷🏻♂️
I use a lot of subsonics in mine, which run great but dirty - and if I have a range day where I've put a couple hundred through the pipe, occasionally the subsonics (which have less oomph to cycle the bolt) get hung up on the soot/lube build up in the chamber.
Never had that issue with supers, though. Those run fine even when filthy, so it's pretty situational. :)
Nice. At least it's really simple to pop on and off depending on what you're doing. I imagine low velocity stuff could totally warrant the use of a forward assist. I find when mine fucks up it really fucks up. Like this one it ate last week. My mag spring was hung up and the last couple rounds weren't quite making it up in time for the bolt. Lol
Mine did similar things for a bit, especially stovepiping. If you ever find it stovepipes empty brass in the chamber often, pull the left side extractor out. Totally resolved it for me.
I'll keep it in mind. Mines well broken in though. One of the OG 18" models. This was just a fluke. Both my mags have done it once. Where the follower feels floppy at the top of the mag.. Spring catching on something. Disassembled and reassembled the mags and they're like new again. Just have to watch for it when loading. If it's floppy, fix the mag.. shouldn't have to though, I gave them a quick sanding inside to get rid of any rough edges..
I had a shitty break in period with this rifle though. But once it smoothed out, it's been clear sailing for 1000s of rounds since..
Yep! I wanted a quad rail that would let my LAM on the 3 o'clock position sit centered on the handguard. I might start producing them soon once I tweak a couple things.
My plan eventually is to grab a 12", and make a flash can (without baffles or anything, just an open can like the KAK flash can etc.) so it serves some kind of function. :)
I made the flared magwell myself - I brought it out to test it, and it worked great, so I may look into producing them en masse.
