Gun and gear reviews Kral Arms KR22 Tactical Semi-Auto Rifle 22 LR 18.5 review?

Looking for an honest review / feedback. Can’t trust Canadian caliber or go tendas video review. Need a cheap plinker to scratch that tacticool itch or am I just better off with Ruger 1022 with a aftermarket stock.
Also SBIs pricing on their rifles out of touch now. Used to get discount codes which only seem to become available when they are out of stock with their rifles and jacked up msrp.

I couldn’t imagine thinking the factory mags look dumb and thinking putting clamshell fake mag covers akin to a dollarama toy is better

Yeah only the 25rnd bug me. The 10 and 15 are fine, after all they are only 22lr anyways.

36 grain? That’s probably the issue. Mine is a jammomatic with anything other than 40 grain. 40 grain blazer is my go to.

Same, mine will eat the federal and Winchester cheap stuff, but jams get annoying with the 25rnd mags specifically. Any standard or faster CCI and it’s great.

Won’t cycle subs, but I do shoot a fair bit of CCI quite segmented when my wife asks if I can give it a rest camping. We camp next to my buddies private range. But as 750fps subsonics it’s to be expected. That said they are so quiet that people thought I had a suppressor a few times. Basically hear the firing pin strike and then the impact down range.

Quality ammo makes all the difference with the TM22, I buy the cheap stuff on sale for my kids to shoot but predominantly shoot blazers, CCI mini mag and stingers myself

The internals are more simple then the 10/22, ive got both and I defs perfer my TM22

Your buddy is experiencing the turkish gamble. Every cheap turk rifle, including tm22, KR22, etc etc, ALL have a 50/50 chance if they'll even function out of the box. And another 50/50 chance it blows apart on the first mag.

Turkish QC doesnt exist, so you may get a model that work perfectly, or like your buddies, might have a ton of issues.

I think ive hit 3000 rds on my TM22 and ive only done the extractor removal, and put a washer in the buffer. Ive also heard people have the opposite experience. It comes with me to the range every time, and sees more ammo through it than any of my others.

If you want reliable out of the box but a bit bland with out any modifications, Ruger is the way to go. If you want to take the gamble on a rifle that might not work, Go TM22.

Also, nothing feels more similar to our more modern/prohibited options once you throw the top charging handle kit from Alex Homebrew on. (when it comes to.22's)

Thats hilariously over exaggerating how many problems they have with these guns.

In no world do 50% of TM-22s not function out of the box.

Damn man, dont take everything so literal.

All i meant was that Turkish producers have 0 quality control, and lots of them show up as duds. So its a gamble on if the one you receive is going to be a lemon or not.

Heck, EVERY TM22 needs a washer in the buffer between the buffer tube and rubber pad just so the bolt doesnt over travel and break the charging handle. So 100% of them need to be tweaked to not break in the long run.

So yeah, turk guns are a QC gamble, no its not exactly 50.00%, but i think the majority of people understood what was meant.

10/22 is a Lego gun. You are always better off with that if you have the dough.

I just got one and got a fail to fire in the first mag: weak primer strike. Seems to be endemic in these rifles.

I swear 75% of people who say these cheap .22s are crap out of the box probably never clean and oil them before using, ALWAYS tear down and clean well before use, will save you a lot of issues

Not sure how much more review you can actually get for such a cheap gun…. All .22s are prone to the odd ammo failure, even a brand new beautiful 10/22. Spend what you will I guess

Have put about 400 rounds of 36gr Federal without any problems. Used the two included mags and two Ruger 10/22 mags, all cycled fine. It feels like an airsoft gun but it spins 3” steel targets at 50yds.

Is it as good as a 10/22? Definitely not. But it was $279, shares a readily available mag and is fun to plink with. I’ll happily bring this along whenever the .22s come out to play.
