Shitpost / Memes Me watching Quebec complain about Canadian gun laws while France has more relaxed gun laws.

Ironic isn’t it?

Ontarian expat living in BC who married a québécoise.

First, people in Québec haven't identified with France since the 1760s, when the French sold them down the river to keep their sugar colonies in the carribean.

Second, Montréal is not Québec. Rural québécois and those around Québec City think very differently.

Third, I dont get why Québec always gets targeted here when the downtown Toronto crowd is just as bad, and just as vocal.

Probably because the governments of Quebec and Montreal are both linked to the anti-gun efforts of both the coalition for gun control and Poly.

Appreciate you reposting these, I missed them the first time around

Why isn't this sub talking more about this? Having a conversation about this legitimate conflict of interest/corruption will get us so much further ahead than an entire thread of name calling 🤷‍♂️
