Shooting Paralax question

I got a tikka t3x in a 308 win I decided on

Getting a Leupold® VX-Freedom Riflescopes - 4-12x40mm - TRI-MOA but now im learning about paralax should I go with vortex Venom instead and get one paralax free? I never fired a center before abd it'll be my first tine getting deer i assume no more than 300 yards if I can even find one

Your scope choice is fine. Dont over think it.. the venom is an intro level long distance scope and not exactly designed with hunters in mind being heavy, and with a busy reticle.

I have both scopes and while I prefer the venom over the VX freedom I wouldn't really stress over the parallax for deer hunting. The parallax is nice on the range or at really short distance but it won't be a game changer while hunting. All my range guns have parallax, neither of my larger game hunting rifles have it. Never really consciously choose to not have them on hunting rifles, but never wished I had it while hunting.

Parallax adjustment is nice to have on a range gun but for hunting it’s kind of an unecessary complexity.

For precision target shooting it’s a no brainer to eliminate a potential variable even though the potential error is quite small. Also for very close range shooting like with air guns it’s essential for keeping the reticle and  image in focus.

Most fixed parallax scopes for hunting are set to 100 or 150 yards and the potential error at 300 yards if your eye is all the way at the edge of the eye box is like 2”. Considering that most people can position their eye better than that the real world error would be much less.

I was going to buy the Tikka t3x hunter in 308 as my first rifle. How do you like it?

Dont know its my birthday present for myself sept.12 lol I just put on a spice yesterday still need to get a bipod case and lens cover for it leopuld is so cheap dodnt even have one with it. But it feels nice I got the tally direct mount I regret it bc the scopes too far to see so i have to awkwardly position my head and you cant adjust it
