So hypothetically someone were to have a lower or full wx-mcr with a ruined upper if they'd be looking to get rid of it by chance. I got a MS- mcr because I heard the metals were better in the receiver. Now I'm sad I didn't realize what I missed out on. So hypothetically of course if someone had a ruined or deactivated mxmcr I don't know where much else to look

The upper receiver isn't a controlled item, you can still buy them legally, and iirc the WS-MCR lower is dimensionally compatible with WK 180c uppers as well.

Not controlled upper = Yes legal. Controlled upper (as in a ar15) = Not legal

Yes, I should have clarified that I was only talking about the Canadian AR180b variants
