Long Range in Québec?

Is there a website/club/forum that keeps a list of where I can shoot and practice long range in Quebec, Montreal region? Anything than I can shoot prone or from a bench.

I am near Montreal and I always prefer going north. My actual shooting range is about 200 meters long, maximum, and you shoot from a bench/table. I’d like to know if there’s somewhere 300m and maybe over until I found myself a personal spot.

I’m beginning this year and want to experience my first time in a range since I don’t know any nearby crownland or someone that could be my mentor.

Bonus question: I’ve setup my rifle pretty much like it should be, but my friend who got me into LR is away for a couple of months. Should I see a gunsmith to check with my ergonomics with the rifle? Or should I find a “scope guy” and go to a range/field with him?

Get a membership with the pqra/atpq. They are allowed to go shoot at the Valcartier base. Depending on the range, you can shoot above 1000y

Ahhh a guy I went to see a rifle told me about some clubs having a deal with Valcartier base. Have you been there by any chances? Thanks for the tip!

They have initiation days that cost like 75$ and then you can get the membership afterwards.

They also have electronic targets which are pretty neat

Yes I am a member of the CTRV but to be a member there you need to be a military or be sponsored by an active member but they have a ratio to respect of active member and civilians.

The easy way to do long range is to be a member of the PQRA / ATPQ and they have an agreement to shoot on the base and they focus on long range which I think is your main goal. That is what I'd aim for if I were you.

I'm guessing your 200m range is Ruisseau Noir.

300m is available at club de tir Pionnier in l'Assomption (about 20min from MTL-east.) and you don't have to be a member. You do have to show the RO you can group at 200 before being allowed to shoot at 300.

What exactly do you mean by this? Ive never heard of someone paying someone to check "ergonomics" or to mount a scope, I might be missing something here so fill me in if I am haha.
