Gun and gear reviews TM22 Feather and Flash Review: Lighter, Cheaper... Better?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JouP8zy_nWs

TM22's are taking over 3 gun competitions. Here's a review on 2 of them.

I've got a couple extra tips in the article here: https://www.huntinggearguy.com/rimfire/tm22-feather-review/

tip 1: if you're getting failures to eject, consider removing your left extractor (the gun has 2)

tip 2: check your barrel nut tightness, lots are barely finger tight

Slightly off topic, but do you think the MK-15, Carmel, and BH Comp will become more prevalent in 3-gun matches in Canada?

I hope that the ccfr wins and then we get all of the others back my personal favorite was the bren 2

I’m praying daily to the gun gods this happens LMAO.

I’m really leaning towards a favourable ruling based on how things are playing out and how carneys been talking about the bans. It’s gonna be a long year until we find out

I'd imagine there will be a few people who will use those but people are tired of having their competition rifles banned. Some people are on their 3rd or 4th 3 gun rifle because previous have been banned. The BH Comp doesn't have an FRT number, right?

I was at a match on Sat/Sun and the vast majority of shooters were using rimfire rifles with TM22 mags, 597 mags+adapters, or TUF-22 mags.

Correct no FRT on the comp as its a domestic product according to my chat with the Crusader Arms rep this AM

Then it's going to see the same fate as the Crypto.

Most likely yes. Though im a "we're probably getting everthing back next year" conspiracy theorist. So we'll see.

If you think we're getting everything next year, just wait and get an XCR or AR15 when they get unbanned. No sense getting the overpriced Temu AR15.

Im a bolty guy myself. But from a retailer point of view i dont disagree. Im just hoping the ammo sales pick back up if stuff comes back.

Hopefully, the libs having a bs majority tho isn’t reassuring

For sure. But gotta stay positive in this industry as a retailer or you'll go insane.

We've had like 3 or 4 556 semi autos get nr FRTs, the Supreme court was refusing to hear the CCFRs case until all of a sudden theyre willing too, ontario joining AB and Sask in intervening on behalf of the CCFR in said case.

(note if your a ccfr member we give discounts to them, see the app for details).

I didn't say it was a bad gun. I've owned the GSG16 and the GSG15. In Canada cope land the GSG series isn't terrible but it's cheap, plastic and feels as such.

Its just not a high bar to pit something against was all I was saying. Nothing wrong with buying a cheap, plastic gun, but don't be surprised when it feels cheap.

Also you can buy an out of the box 10/22 carbine for like $50-$100 more depending on sales and have better performance, accuracy and aftermarket support. There's absolutely no need to spend $1k on a gucci 10/22, nor was i suggesting anyone do so.

This being said i own a TM22 Pro and i fucking love it. However, it's not fully plastic and doesnt feel cheap like the GSG16 did. Because once again, the bar is low.

It's pretty plasticky. On the plus side, also very light!

The curved mags are so funny. I would paint all of mine yellow with a banana sticker.

I like that idea.
