You chose well. If you don't like the factory sights, check out the Skinner Express or LoPro.

5 weeks from submittal or 5 weeks after the waiting period? I'm on week 2 after the waiting period, so 6 weeks total now - frothing at the mouth here

5 weeks and change from submitting. I submitted online. Also in Ontario (surprising because Ontario seems to have the highest wait times). Like I said, I kinda won the lottery with that wait time 🤣

Talked my buddy into buying one of those during breakfast one day. after he had been saying he wanted a lever gun for years since I let him shoot mine. Pretty nice for what it is. pretty hefty too. The octagon barrel looks sick

I feel this. I ended up paying for it the day I applied for my pal and my best friend bought it and took it home so I wouldn't miss out. It was in the line up of .22 levers and the brass stood out at first, then the cut out for the tube (with it being beside .22 i saw that and had to see what it was chambered in. Then when I saw the octagon and felt the action on it, I was sold. 5 weeks later, the license was it, the transfer went thru and I picked it up.

Wait that thing's in 22 LR? Cool. Didn't realize they made it in rimfire. My buddy got it in 357. Because I offered to reload for it at cost.

Edit. Rereading your comment you didn't make it quite clear is it in 22lr or 347

Oh sorry, its 357. At the shop it was in the line up beside the .22 levers. The tube mag cut out was what tipped me off to it being a larger caliber

Good choice Henry is always solid and has fantastic warranty enjoy!! I still need me a big boy but debating the 44 mag or 45-70 lol not that I wanna pay for ammo for those though lol

That's the exact debate I had when buying this 🤣 but the 500 round box of 38 special for $260 settled me on the 357

I hear ya brother probably the better choice just unfortunately I never got me a 44mag before hand gun freeze so I’d still really like one lol

I hear ya, eventually I'll own a 45-70 because nothing fucks like a government 🤣

I don’t think the waitlist is that bad I was told the day after the 28 day minimum hold I was approved and got my license in the mail a week later. All together from taking my course and getting my license was probably around 7 weeks since my course teacher was slow to send our original documents in

Some people it's immediately after the waiting period, some it's months after that. From what I understand, it depends on how you apply, how well you filled everything in, if the picture is correct (ie passport photo vs firearms photo),the volume of applications at the time, and the CFO of your province. My best friend waited about 6 months but I got mine just over 5 weeks from applying.

Ya but I think the new system which is all done online now is much faster in general and especially if you follow your and call the CFO I know as of a couple months ago when I got my license it all went digital which made the process super fast for me since my references all confirmed the information the same day they got contacted and I also made sure all information was accurate so they wouldn’t send anything back compared to when you still had to mail in documents like my bothers buddies earlier in the year or 2025 it’s so much slower

It's not a proper trigger lock for a lever action

2

u/Unlucky_Mc 27d ago

No, but it's what I had on me when picking it up. Cable lock on it now that it's home.

1

u/NumerousSetting8135 27d ago

Take the bolt out of the action and that's a legal way to store make sure it's hidden in a different room

I had the lock at home, just when I picked up the gun I had a trigger lock in the car and not a cable. At home it's double locked because I don't trust anyone 🤣
