I don’t know about this specific .22 but all the ones I had were very picky with which ammo they liked

I tried 2 different types cci long range 40 grain
And some subsonic

The subsonic did shoot at all they just light striking

Both rounds worked perfectly with the Ruger tho

I've heard others complaining of light strikes on the KR22 tactical. I have a regular KR22 that I'll be testing one of these days.

One of mine liked ammo that was over 1200 (or 1300 I don’t remember )feet per second. It could shoot other rounds but would jam at least once per mag.

It was in the manual but i didn’t notice it at first.

Maybe a similar issue?

Try CCI Blazer. It's got some cheap extra oomph. If it's successful, at least it's the cheapest bulk 22LR available currently in Canada next to Aguila and that stuff is hit and miss.

CCI Blazer - .22LR, 40gr that’s what I was using in the video

how did it work without the adaptor?

3

u/twistedhumoraffy 29d ago

I tried the original mags as well same problem

standard 10/22 mags and blazer worked fine for me. the adapter made is finnicky with failures to feed.

for the 280~~ ish if you've delt with a gsg, you can certainly deal with this minus only having 10rnd mags for functional reliability.

Yeah I’ll give it a try with the Ruger mags next trip

To be fair, those Remington mags are shit even in a Remington 597. Last round never feeds.

I mean worked perfectly with the Ruger at the end but I’ll be going back with high velocity ammo and different mags to give it another shot

I didn’t buy it as a cope rifle it’s one of the cheaper budget ones on the market so wanted to review it and post for other ppl before they buy lol. I’m on board with your comment tho I would never buy a 22 as a coping rifle
