Shooting New Beretta 1301 Mod 2 - clean and first shoot
It looks like I should clean off all the grease/oil the shotgun came with. And then put some gun oil on it.
Any advice? Small drop of lube everywhere there is metal on metal contact?

I went 1200 rounds and no lube with mine and no issues. Don’t worry about cleaning it much it’ll just keep going even if it’s filthy. The 1301 is extremely reliable you’ll never need another shotgun again.

Not the only difference. Seen so many canuck pumps tear up shells with burrs on feeding ramps, jammed lifters, malfunctioning firing pins, bolt catches that do not work, stocks breaking etc.
Honestly with so many reliable options from mossberg any turknelli or canuck over $700 is highway robbery.

Pretty much. Also don't forget to make sure all the screws are tight, Beretta is pretty solid for QC but it's something I always check.
Look up a video of you're unsure/refer to the manual

I immediately mag dumped back to back fresh out the box. Italian stallion just grunted, neighed, and asked for more. I didn't dare film it though, wouldn't want to upload such (apparently) sacrilege footage to a gun forum.

Any italian shotgun will work flawlessly under hundreds if not thousands of rounds without a cleaning.

Yes, Beretta recommends a very thin film of lube - so basically a drop and you spread it around.
Also, do NOT lubricate the gas cylinder as that will accelerate dirt buildup.
