Does the red dot even have a view over top of that gigantic flip up sight at the front?

Lmfao barely. I got them online as they were advertised as Magpul clones and holy shit are they hot garbage.

Should’ve had the red dot on a riser from the beginning, it’s more of a pistol optic than a rifle but I wanted something to start with

Give mine a try, I make one with the brightest dot and largest eyebox on the market 😛

$350 isn’t too bad tbh. Does it come with the rings?

Question: Would the cantilever mount be high enough to raise the optic above a flip up sight?

Question: How does it hold zero with recoil on calibers higher than a .22?

Unfortunately jt doesn't clear a flip up Yes it will hold 300 win mag

Ok good to know. I can always get different rings with higher rise or do a weird double rail system. If I pick it up I’ll figure something out 👌

I bought one of these a few months ago and I am very happy with it! (put it on my bubba'd sks). My TM22 has a 1x prism with a 3x magnifier.

Don't let the LPVO haters sway you.

Get a Vortex Crossfire 1-4x24. I enjoy mine on my .17hmr. Good at 50m you can easily land at 100m but you won't see your impacts so you'll need some binos if you really care for accuracy.

Can’t see myself shooting over 100m with a .22 anyways. It’s going to basically come with me deer hunting (shotgun) for if I see any vermin or coyotes.

u/kestik Jun 23 '26

Please don't use .22lr for coyotes

So close, Now let me see you operate that with the dogs

Lpvo is a waste on a .22 like this honestly. Save the lpvo for your mk15

Beauty about interchangeable parts is I can run it on this until I get that etc.

I was thinking the 2-7 vortex rimfire or the crossfire 2/venom

I mean if you plan on putting it on a better rifle later i wouldn't get the rimfire. Or the crossfire for that matter. But sounds like you already know what you want.

1

u/AHangryBeaver Jun 23 '26

I was looking at just a standard 4x rimfire scope but I don’t like the look of it for the Derya.

I’ll most likely do the venom or crossfire HD for it.

Are you inquiring about a suitable LPVO?

My vote goes to a red dot magnifier combo instead haha. I have a Holosun 3X and red dot on mine and have a ton of fun with it. Super satisfying to run drills with it. Also you'll still be able to use the flip up irons (depending on red dot mount height). One of my favourite drills is at 50 yds, engage a larger target (torso A zone) off hand for 3 rounds, flip up the magnifier, quickly build a more stable position (eg resting support hand/forend on vertical beam) then fire 2 rounds on a small steel gong.

For whatever reason the text didn’t add to the post.

This is my current TM22 setup.
Going to be swapping the red dot for an LPVO (once I buy one) for hunting as well as adding a sling.

Pretty happy with it so far, considering removing the left side extractor as well but I’m worried about messing it up by trying to do so.

I like firefield LPVO from basspro, good for a .22 and often on sale for 200

Dont bother removing it if you arent having extraction problems.

If you do have too, all you do is tap the retaining pin out, and the spring and the extractor arm just fall out. Its easier than removing the top receiver portion for cleaning haha

A little extra magnification never hurts. I have old eyes so I like a good 1-8x

As long as weight isn't too bad you could get something from vortex for example.

u/Bull-RunTheJewels Jun 23 '26

Do you have a fake can on it? That barrel looks THICK

0

u/AHangryBeaver Jun 23 '26

I like em thicc and yes it’s a TE can

1

u/Bull-RunTheJewels Jun 23 '26

What is a TE Can and where can I find it?

1

u/AHangryBeaver Jun 23 '26

Tommy enterprise faux suppressor on their website

1

u/Bull-RunTheJewels Jun 23 '26

So it’s plastic? How’s it holding up?

1

u/AHangryBeaver Jun 24 '26

Haven’t taken it shooting, it’s VERY tight with the 18” barrel model, especially if you have rails attacked etc.
It’s entirely decorative and pretty cheap if I ever have to replace it so I’d say - worth the $45 if you just want something aesthetic

I put a Riton LPVO 1-8x24 on my 22lr, got my quota in ruffed grouse with ease. I love that setup, no problems. Zeroed at 50 yards, shoot a lot to know your bullet path and it will be fine. Target recognition is way better than a fixed scope imo.

I just got a Sun optics 3-9x40 for $72 off tenda. It works fine for my 10/22, maybe my only gripe is that the reticle is second focal plane which renders the mildot basically pointless but for a $72 what do you expect.

I ran Arken LH6 1-6x on my 10/22 and it was super easy to shoot. I got bored so I switched it with a dot/ 3x mag combo on my Renegade.

LVPO is great with .22lr but I find myself shooting below 100m all the time and love shooting golf ball, rolling shotgun shell with it so the dot/ 3x mag serves me better.

Try and switch the build to suit your needs

What chasis ?

0

u/AHangryBeaver Jun 23 '26

Just the standard TM 22 FDE the 18” barrel one

And what Kind of Magazine.
It doesn't look like the stock Mag.

I dont like the look of the tiny curved mag. Yours looks like the typical AR Mags

Tommy Enterpise PMag style sleeve.About $20 a pop.

Make sure you select the proper fit for your mags material (polymer or metal)
