Buy recommendations Opinions, military historical or modern rifle for next purchase

Looking to buy yet another rifle to add. Looking at something. 308. I like the henry 308 single shot. Debating if I should buy something military surplus like k11, mosin, mauser, enfield.

Budget of 1000

What do you suggest? (I do reload)

Split the difference and get a milsurp in 7.62 NATO. An Israeli Kar98k or Spanish FR7/FR8 can be found around $1000.

In a similar fashion I'd suggest a 30-30 Swiss Straight Pull

If you're interested in a single shot .308 you should checkout the CVA Scout, just paste this model number into Google: CR4437S. They're fantastic rifles, I had one in 45-70 but sold it because the ammo was too rich for my blood.

. Impressively crisp trigger, very handy length, takedown feature for easy storage, the brake and pad make it very soft shooting even with 45-70. Stainless steel for winter hunting rust protection, love this thing. Low price leaves you room for an optic or ammo.

If you do reloads you can definitely get a odd cal milsurp for collecting and fun.

Get the AD 500 308 semi auto. Disregard the people calling it Turk crap. It needs a good deep cleaning before the range.
