Feets / Collection / My build New Mod, Folding Stock on the Cz 600 Trail.
It's too fun changing things around with modular guns.
Now I have the decision, try the folding stock, or stick with the Old "Stock" stock.
After some heat shrink and some trimming, I did manage to remove most of the wobble from the original. The new one doesn't have any wobble either, but lacks a cheek rest right now.
Decisions decisions.....

What's the wood like material used on grip and forearm?

It's just leather cord actually!!! Bought some and wrapped it myself. Pretty comfy to hold. Got the idea from seeing some leather wrapped AR15 parts from Hera and figured I could do it myself for cheaper

It looks fantastic in my opinion.
I'm hesitant to buy a cz 600 from what I red. What kind of accuracy can you pull at 100 and beyond?

I've only shot it at 100 meters, back when it just had a red dot and iron sights. Accuracy was bang on at that range. Now with a scope, I bet it would be even better. Never noticed any bad Accuracy from these, i think they are just rated for 2moa because of all the potentially bulk ammo they can shoot, and the folding stock. With the stock fixed, I see no reason why someone couldn't get 1moa with some decent ammo. As for me I'm more of a free hand, just hit the steel shooter, so I doubt I'd get 1moa on any gun.

Pretty comfy, the cheek rest on the old stock was surprisingly decent. New stock I need to add a little cheek rest riser, as right now it's just my cheek on cold aluminum and too low for the optic. They make little risers for stocks like this though so I'm not worried. Otherwise decent ergo wise. More kick Than I'd expect for a 7.62 x39. Short barrel and light weight make it feel totally different than my sks.

Honestly, even with the wobbly stock, it was more accurate than me. Either stock is better now than it was

What’s the adaptor like to remove the original stock? Always held me back on trying this rifle out

It's not bad removal. Unscrew 2 bolts in the old stock and then knock out 3 pins. Then 3 little parts fall out the back with the pins gone. Then installing was just rubber hammer the adaptor in and put back one of the pins.
The hardest part is if you want to go back to the original stock. The 3 little parts have to be placed back in a certain way to work, and it took a couple tries to get it right.
But switching to the adaptor was super easy!

This one is a 3d printed one off Gunpost, a fellow near edmonton sells them. A bit cheaper than the British made one, but not nice aluminum like the British made one. Downside is the pic rail on the adaptor is 3d printed material, so it's weaker.

Almost looks like a star wars Blaster (that's a compliment in my book)
