I burnt my thumb in first time of shooting my A300 by holding it with C clamp method

Even with a pair of gloves, I can still feel the heat after 20 shells.

The AR handguard wrap from Cole Tec could do a trick

Added a sling and the pro lifter will come tomorrow.

I think I am done with this minimalistic build

Curious to see how it works. If it moves a lot or not. I’ve just been using some grip tape wrapped over the barrel for the same reason

It is tight and secured with crazy friction. I will report back after few more range trips.

Came back from my range. Shot around 40 target loads in less than 10mins + several full powered buckshots. No issue with the wrap

make it tight. The wrap is still hot but you could still c clamp with your bare hand

Search shotgun heat shield dot com. They ship to Canada, theyre cheap and they work great. Have one on my 1301.

Yes. I was about to buying the shield with cole tac wrap but don’t like the look of it.

Is that the Sparc optic? Does it hold up well to buckshot? I ask bc I have a venom on a shotgun for turkey and I was thinking of an enclosed dot.

It is a vortex triumph. No issue so far after 100 shells of mixed buckshots, slug and birdshots

Nice. I love my Triumph binoculars. Just got the father in law a set of crossfire HDs bc they're were on 20 more after the vortex discounts at academy.

Did you source the wrap in Canada or buy it straight from ColeTac? Exactly what I'm looking for for my 1301

I ordered straight from cole tac. The wrap arrived after 3-4 days in BC, no extra tax. Ordered the pro lifter from Tacord, it arrives 1 day later lol

Done? Now you need a matching black buttstock wrap!!!!

Honestly dig these for adding some old school charm (looks like leather wrap)  but the actual utility of letting you c clamp it is even cooler.

I might add a shell holder running along buttstock.

But black guns will make those Poly nuts scream
