Buy recommendations Looking for Decommissioned Hunting Rifle - EDMONTON

Hello,

I'd like to acquire a decommissioned hunting rifle for an upcoming short film. Can you recommend any shops or sellers that have these?

I also read that if I do not have a license, that's okay provided I have the decommissioning paperwork.

Thanks for any advice!

No offense, but it sounds like you know a lot less about firearms than your character who will own a firearm in your film. If you want to make your production believable, it would be worth getting someone with firearm training to help you avoid directing your character inadvertently do something comical/untrained/dangerous with the firearm. Any local gun club will probably have many folks willing to lend a hand.

Appreciate the note and it’s true I know very little. However having a hunting rifle in the cabin is reasonable enough, and I want it to look authentic. It doesn’t need to be loaded, and it will be “fired” at close range by a character that also is not well trained in firearms. Just point and shoot I think it will be okay.

Nearly would have got an armourer but don’t believe it will be required here. Thanks for the thought tho
