Huh, kinda funny how it twists when you fire. Can’t tell if that’s you doing that or if the action cycling creates that effect

I'm sure a good portion of it is definitely my fault lmao but I wouldn't be surprised if there's some commonality between this effect and why AKs have those slant compensators

Haha, it really is a great part. IIRC it's SBI's AK-style SKS Magazine Release but unfortunately I don't think they've had them in stock for a while now

I must say that I don’t know where my trigger finger sits on my SKS trigger but yours looks to be quite high. If you can adjust you grip so your trigger finger is lower you’ll get more leverage and the trigger pull will feel lighter. Good follow-through on the trigger pull, though!

Good suggestion, I'll give that a try next time. I do feel the trigger is annoyingly heavy so should be helpful!

Not sure about the grip but for the rail (his design) you can use the cleaning rod hole as a mounting point for accessories if you put a threaded insert on the inside :) a funny little ingenious trick

Foregrip and the rail adapter are my design, foregrip is just standard picatinny and inspired by a certain classic design

Newbie here. What’s the reason for the magazine being so long if you’re legally only aloud 5 rounds? Just for looks?

Looks is one aspect, ease of use is a big one. Easier to grab onto and manipulate a longer magazine, its why you see extenders even for the short 5/10rd magazines we get. And the big one is just that most parts are designed for the US market, Canada's market is too small for us to get custom designed magazines for our regulations for many of our niche firearms

How easy is it to disassemble with that rail on top? Seems like a reasonable way to get a red dot on an otherwise unwelcoming platform, but I like to keep my guns clean, so if it's a pain to take apart I dunno if it's worthwhile.

Not difficult at all, MagWedge provides a pin that replaces the original takedown pin for the cover and then the whole rail can be pivoted upwards to remove the cover and bolt. If I had to do it again, with the way I mount it and with just a red dot the rail is overkill and a little heavy. With this kind of setup I'd go with one of the mini-rails out there that just replaces the rear sight.

Can we have a parts list?
