They have me two dates for turning in my guns, neither of which works (I won't be in town). Like wtf?

You are not getting fuck all as compensation and the amnesty has been extended for a long time

Draw a picture of a water gun and mail it. See if it counts.

Edit” needed to add that you could also send in a stick that looks vaguely like a gun and see if that works too. Include a letter explaining it’s an “Assault styled stick” but write it in crayon.

How about you don't? Privately deactivate once we even find out when the amnesty ends. You're only propping up the program and making it look like it's succeeding. The number turned in should be 0.
