Feets / Collection / My build Well boys and girls, I've gone metric.

Derya 9mm just arrived. For the money, I'm not expecting miracles. Just hoping to have a fun plinker in a calibre that's not .22. I have a TM22 and the stock on this one seems to be exactly the same. I really like that adjustability. I'm becoming a fan of peep sights and i'm looking forward to experimenting with these. I really like the look of the sharp pin front sight. If the weather holds I'll be able to put some rounds through it on the weekend.

Let us know how it shoots. I have a pile of 9mm, should probably get something for it one of these days. If someone made a proper pistol grip unit for the homesteader I’d probably have one by now. These look kinda cool.

Tommy does but they are not good quality

Yeah. First one cracked on install. Second held for a bit but I could never get the buffer tube to seat properly because a metal screw in printed plastic does not a good time make. Shame though: I liked it.

Hopefully that metalworks fellow gets something cooking.

u/NEUMANN-METALWORKS we summon you

We need you to make a homesteader buffer tube adapter that is good and made out of aluminum

Hah, they're already in production. Pic rail version though, as I will also be making a skeletonized folding "buffer tube" that connects to picatinny rears (like my SKS chassis or the upcoming Makasi) and takes multi-position buffer tube buttstocks

That is sick how long have they been in production for

2 weeks or so, but took a long time to design. Also for Homesteader have a handguard, pic rail (for optic) and "heat shield" coming out this summer. Slow and steady. Big fan of being able to post pictures now, lol

Nice I just checked you website and it was not on there do you have any ideas as to what the adapter and handgaurd and heat shield would cost to buy

Not sure if I can post prices without making reddit admins upset

Reasonable and probably less than you'd think. Not triple digits.

Hell yeah where do I buy it if I actually get a homesteader lol

2

u/jmz-jmz Jun 12 '26

Yeah, kinda what I meant by proper lol. Something machined from aluminum not 3D printed. I know Midwest Industries makes a nice stock, but it’s not pistol grip.

2

u/Relevant_Diver_3228 Jun 12 '26

Oh I'm sorry I didn't see proper and I think the Midwest industries discontinued the homesteader stuff

2

u/jmz-jmz Jun 12 '26

No worries. If Midwest discontinued their homesteader stuff that kinda sucks. Not much out there for it

1

u/Relevant_Diver_3228 Jun 12 '26

I know I wish that MI didn't discontinue their homesteader stuff cause I didn't get a chance to order it and now I don't really want to order the homesteader

I'll do follow-up post for sure.

I have put 150 rounds through mine so far. No issues with firing. Subsonics seem to be a bit longer than standard projectiles and they were sometimes unable to load. I had to take the mag out and slap it to realign the rounds. Standard ammo didn't have this issue. Factory mags worked better than Glock or Pmag mags. Be careful with the placement of your hand on the pump. I slammed my pinky between the receiver and pump and ended with a cut and a nasty bruise.

Thanks for your feedback. Did you get the 12 or the 16?

1

u/Remarkable_Vanilla34 Jun 12 '26

is the "buffer" tube a standard diameter. Its not exactly what i was hoping for from a 9mm pump but with a different stock i wouldn't mind it.

1

u/Remote_Mistake6291 Jun 12 '26

I do not know. I haven't tried to remove anything yet. It looks like the same stock as the TM22 which is com-spec and not mil-spec.

u/Massive_Expression_2 Jun 13 '26

How do you find the factory mags for loading? Mine are unbelievably stiffly sprung. I don't have weak hands and it's killing me loading rounds 3 to 10. Rounds 9 and 10 are almost impossible. I loaded 34 rounds tonite (fired 14 rounds playing around, then fully loaded the mags) and may not have functioning thumbs tomorrow. 😆

I think all 9mm mags are like that. I had no idea, movies make it look easy!  One of those loader devices is a must.

1

u/Remote_Mistake6291 Jun 13 '26

I can not do it either. Even the glock mags are like that. I use a Maglula mag loader. It's the only way I can get them in. I load 5 mags with no effort.

Is no one going to say anything about your UwU feet?

2

u/NeruLight Jun 11 '26

Looks neat, you’re lucky to have scored one!

5

u/Massive_Expression_2 Jun 11 '26

Thanks. Try Gagnon in Oshawa if you're interested.

1

u/Remote_Mistake6291 Jun 12 '26

That is where I got mine. They got in 12 and they are sold out.

2

u/Massive_Expression_2 Jun 12 '26

I think it was you who gave me the tip where to find one. 😄

3

u/Brapika Jun 11 '26

Need a review on this. Might wait for the wood model like 22 version has.

3

u/Iokua_CDN Jun 12 '26

I hope they do a wood version for it!  I'd buy one really quick if they did!

Has anyone seen anything on the bolt action's?

1

u/IceWide6245 Jun 12 '26

ETA is July 1st according to North Sylvia, and no word on a pistol grip version as of yet

3

u/ThePoeticJester Jun 12 '26

I saw a bunch of people whining when it was announced about "why not semi auto??" And shit but like.. manual actions are a safe bet away from OIC BS and still could be fun plinking. Personally Im not big into new guns but seeing someone bring in weird or less common stuff is nice, would be cool to see one with a proprietary drum mag since its manual action! Especially if they had a slamfire setup

Some people complain that there's nothing new coming to market, then complain when something new comes to market. 😆

1

u/Response-Cheap Jun 11 '26

Pretty sweet.

1

u/TheBulletBuddy Jun 12 '26

How does the buffer tube attach to the reciever? Is the break down for cleaning relatively simple?

5

u/Massive_Expression_2 Jun 12 '26

I haven't got into disassembly yet. Here's a quick pic of the page from the manual.

2

u/TheBulletBuddy Jun 12 '26

Interesting, thanks!
