News / Politics / Activism This “modified” .22

Check out this .22 that two scum bags had in their possession after a dine a dash! Sawed off ruger 10/22? How goddamn ghetto can you get? Classic Medicine Hat. Guaranteed that this loser will be back on the street asap instead of behind bars indefinitely like they should be for possessing a modified gun like this.

Kinda just seems like shitty DYI Charger to me? I'm definitely curious as to how well/reliably it cycles with a barrel that short, but the general concept really isn't bad considering it's basically what Ruger did once upon a time...

I know right. I’m actually impressed this thing looks as good as it does. I feel like I’d do a much worse job. Ruger should hire this guy so he stops dine and dashing.

It definitely makes me wish we could legally make 10/22 pistols just for shits and giggles, with the flush 10rnd mag it's feasible for someone, in a country where it would be legal, to make one that holstered well I'm sure. A version with an integrated suppressor that dropped cheap HV .22lr down to subsonic would probably be fun as hell, though I'm thinking it might need a lighter bolt and/or softer recoil spring to cycle reliably.
