First and foremost, this is a Canadian Gun subreddit, so keep it at least decently related to both of those things.

This thread is not for general politics, there are plenty other subs that are meant for that. Off-topic threads may be removed, especially if they are leading to personal attacks, flame wars, etc.

To prevent the main sub being flooded with dozens of similar threads, text posts complaining about/asking about/chatting about gun politics will be sent here.

We understand that politics is a touchy subject, and at times things can get heated. A reminder of the subreddit rules, when commenting, where subreddit users are expected to abide.

Keep this Canadian gun politics related and polite. Off-topic stuff, flame wars, negative generalizations against groups, personal attacks and gate-keeping will be removed. Please flag any comments to bring to the attention of mods otherwise exercise your upvoting and downvoting ability.

Okay guys now for a new topic. I like to call this one "I fucking hate boomers for what they have done to our country" and it details how they have ruined our nation, culture, economy and way of life to chase after their high and luxury feel good beliefs. They liked the good economy so much their parents gave them, they took it away from their future generations as well. Its crazy how I dont even have a dream of owning a house, land, out in the countryside anymore having a loving wife and children, in a safe nation, working in the HVAC/R trade (yes I have a fucking dream of working in a trade; I love the split of electrical and non electrical shit) anymore. All I dream about is having a fucking job that lets me pay the bills. Not even a job in the trade I went to because no one is hiring, no dream of owning a house because I cant even get out of debt, no dream of being able to ever have a family. And I cant even get this basic work a job to afford to live because the boomers constantly vote agaisnt their country and only want stuff that values them and this economy is fucked!!!!! 

Very original of me to say, I know, I never once have made any of these complaints.

Also something something I can't even go out to shoot anymore due to expenses to help relax (see its gun related mods dont ban this)

I don't think most boomers have ill will toward future generations, they are just highly susceptible to broadcast media propaganda. This makes them a large voting block that the incumbent government can easily manipulate to stay in power.

The real problem that plagues our nation is that the government controls nearly every aspect of everything and continues to expand its influence. Unfortunately, that's a very hard trend to reverse.

I know some boomers that don't believe a word from MSM and spout off all sorts of nonsense that they find online. Things that if you even spend the least amount of time fact checking you know are outlandishly false.

I'm a boomer. I take anything from mainstream/broadcast media with a grain of salt because I know a lot of what is being aired is paid for content that's passed off as news. But I also have less faith in non mainstream content.

Yeah, I have no ill will to subsequent generations. I think some boomers pushed their kids. The next set of kids pushed back and created issues like participation medals, helicoptering, etc. which they caused a subsequent generation to be very entitled.

Im not expecting the same standard of living they got. Im expecting an even better standard of living since thats how society should work, the old generation does what it can for the young generation to make it better than they had it and that young generation does ehat it can to make it better for the new young generation etc etc. The boomers do NOT want this to happen as they are spoiled rotten who want it all, future generations be damned.
