Misc This dot too far back on receiver?
Would there be much of an advantage having it up further on rail?

I don’t think there’s any “right” distance on the receiver, I like mine further back.
I’ve heard people say that putting it further forward helps keep your field of view more open.
So put it where you want and wherever you can get the most consistent/fast sight picture and enjoy!
