My Ruger American Ranch and two of my SKSs take 7.62x39 LAR pistol mags.

Sorta? I bought the magwell that comes with the 5.56 version of the rifle seperately. It was like $30 and is a simple 2 minute swap.

Just grabbed the scout in 7.62, ruger wont sell a stanag magwell if that is the serial you use. ( i used the 556 rar serial ) and am waiting for a response. Who did you get yours from?

Gravel Inc, they didnt ask for a serial number. But that was almost 3 years ago so things may have chnaged

Oof now you've got me questioning. They should? Standard AR mags and the BCL MRX mags all are compatible.

Alcor won't take stanags, the geometry doesn't align without modifications to the magazine.

Only pmags fit and it's finicky

That hasn’t been my experience. I have a pile of Duramag LAR15s, couple of PMAG and some really old one from the AR days. All work without any problems or modifications.

I use them on my LARs. Makes it easier to pull them from mag pouches while still having enough mag in the pouch so they don’t fall out. You’ll need to file the follower down so you can still fit 10 rounds though.
