I have the a22 precision in MDT chassis also, so I need to ask. Have you had any issues with the rounds not feeding correctly from the 10rnd rotary mags?

Every mag, at least 2 rounds misfeed on me.

Also, did the trigger upgrade make a difference over the Accutrigger?

I had all the feed issues at first. Couple different things caused it. 1- the aftermarket mag is garbage, if you bought one return it. Constant failed to feed. 2- the hardware that holds the chassi on was loose, I tightened them up and had less jams. 3- it doesn’t like cheap ammo, I shoot CCI quiet rounds and got way less jams. Bucket of bullets jams ALOT. 4- the trigger would not reset when it would cycle a round, the JARD trigger fixed this issue. 5- it likes to be clean. 6- the return spring has to much spring tension for most ammo to properly reset the trigger, higher grain ammo seems to help.

Thank you a million times! I've been having those exact issues.

Didn't think it was my ammo CCI Velocitor, but I'll try some other brands too.

I bought more Savage brand mags, figured they'd be okay.

I've had no luck at all with my trigger failing to reset. I'd loosened the accutrigger. I've checked all my springs, yada yada yada. I'll def look into the JARD trigger.

For target/precision shooting? To punch holes in paper because it's fun?  Are you really on a gun forum and asking why someone built an accurate rifle?

50 years is a long time. If you meant 50 yards, you have no clue what a .22lr is capable of.

Did you mean 50 yards? Because with an accurate 22lr, you can shoot out to 200-300 yards. If you meant years, then I'd say that it's well worth it for 50 years of shooting.

I regularly shoot mine at 200. The only reason I don't do farther is a lack of long ranges around me

I call it the acorn tax collector, I enjoy guns and my neighbours get upset when I shoot my centre fires all day so I set this up to be able to shoot while maintaining a good relationship with my neighbours. I shoot long range a lot, and marksmanship is marksmanship weather it’s pushing my 22 to 200 or pushing my 338lm to 2km
