Feets / Collection / My build NR collection while waiting for my Makasi mk15

Heres what I still can use since all the OIC. Got the tickler this weekend for 600$. Cant wait for the Makasi mk15.

For your SKS, get an Allen slip-on recoil pad. Size medium. Best non-permanent SKS upgrade that you don’t already have on there. Unless you’re a short-king, the LOP increase, recoil softening, and stickiness to your shoulder is huge.

I’ll take lower recoil on basically anything north of .22lr, personally. My SKS is pretty soft shooting, but it’s even nicer with the pad. The LOP and stickiness is the big thing, though

7.62x39 comparable to 12ga regarding recoil? God damn buddy either you are shooting really wrong or your 12ga ammo is under powdered.

are you shooting shot or low velocity slugs? cause there's no way any 7.62x39 has as much recoil as a high velocity slug, even through a semi.

Normal birdshot buckshot and slugs. I got the limb saver. It's been a minute since I've shot the thing. The SKS definitely does have some recoil. I don't have any padding on mine and it's fine.

limb saver on the 12ga, nothing on the SKS? maybe they'd be somewhat comparable then, I guess.

but if you say they're comparable in recoil, and you don't need padding on the SKS, that would mean you shouldn't need it on the 12ga either...?

Thanks! Picked up my M4 last year and wanted to find a decent heat shield, something to mount a flashlight too. Interestingly, I already have the same Fenix flashlight as you lol.
