Shooting Testing Ammo in My New CZ 457 .22 WMR

Wanted to see what ammo my CZ 457 - 22 WMR prefers

Tested at 50 yards:

  • CCI 40 gr JHP
  • Remington 40 gr JHP
  • Federal 50 gr JHP

Here's my results

I'm not shocked about federal 😂 i'd rather use a slingshot to launch the rounds

Federal rimfire really sucks I find. All the federal I've ever shot in ANY of my 22s is super inconsistent, lots of failures to fire vs other brands. I regret it every time I buy it and think "it'll be better this time!"

Weirdly I found Hornady Critical Duty the most accurate with my testing, you should try it out too

Interesting. Those are 45gr bullets?

Yup! 45gr and they have a polymer filler for the hollow point, they market it as self defence ammo for 22mag handguns

I love my 457. Thinking about upgrade to the mtr version.

Thanks. I used the lead sled. Felt like cheating but a great way to sight in or test ammo. Only took it out a few times but everything I heard about CZ is true. What a great rifle
