Gun and gear reviews Is this accurate enough for grouses?

Little to no wind @ 50 yards.

Thinking about grouse hunting this fall. Is this good enough to do a bit head snipping?

Norma tac22. Pretty cheap ammo. Rws works too. I think Norma is made by rws

It'll work for headshots. But I wouldn't recommend Norma tac-22 for hunting. Sometimes the headshot plan doesn't work out and you need to body shoot them. Have some hollow points. I use the CCI subsonic hollow points.

Can you kill the bird fast with body shots? I try to harvest them ethically.

Grouse are not tough. Headshots are the guarantee but they’re not going to suffer with a body shot. You just lose meat and there’s not much to begin with.

Ya that’s why I want to go for headshots cos the meat damage is pretty annoying. My buddies have been using shotguns and they aim a bit higher to avoid damage but some meat will be mashed up anyways.
