Just get a holosun or vortex red dot but I'd wait until you receive the firearm to make the decision so you know what height of mount you want. Could even wait for an optic sale.

You could try this red dot, Bushnell TRS-25 w/ hi-rise mount (perfect for Carmel/Makasi) is sub 150 at various retailers.

I just picked up a Victor optics lpvo. Their 1-4 and 1.5-6 were both under 200 bucks. Great so far for up close and far away.

Oh ya 100% they are better than the crossfire for less money as I said I have one on my 10/22 and it is perfect for plinking and would be great for whatever else you would use it for

I have a Sitemark MSpec reflex. Zero complaints and like the full field of view it allows.

As of right now we only know what’s in the listings for the gun. Nobody has actually received it in order to give you a proper answer.
As for a good red dot, I’ve got a Vortex Sparc II ($299). They usually end up on sale for a bit lower and would bring it into your price range. I’ve also got a Vortex Crossfire II ($240), both of those dots have been on my Type 81, GSG 15 and my JRC without any issues.
If you’re a taller person, I personally would lean more towards the Sparc II. It sounds a bit silly but it comes with a higher mount and I’ve found it really helps keep the neck from feel kinked, specially on shorter length rifles.

Just get the vortex cross fire dot. Or save your money for an lpvo, best to have some magnification to utilize the longer barrels
