Application / Regulation advice Rim fire over all length question.

When it comes to legal OAL for a rim fire fire arm is the muzzle attachment included? For example if i wanted to put a folding stock on my rifle that would bring it under legal length if I attached a fake suppressor and just never removed it would it still count towards the overall length even though it could be removed with out a tool?

It’s legal it does add to OAL for rimfire but does not count towards barrel length

This is the correct answer. It adds to OAL but not barrel length (which doesn't matter on a rimfire anyway). OP just make it so tools are required to remove it so nobody can argue it's just a quick detach.

In your opinion do you think something like loctite would be sufficient where it would need heat and a strap wrench to take it off or would soemthing like a set screw be required

In my view if you can't remove it by hand you're very safe.

This is my take. Anything that’s not “tooless” is not a quick detach.
