Fix my gun 6.5PRC magazine question

I bought a tikka ctr in 6.5PRC and a cadex short action AICS pattern chassis. Will the 300WSM / 6.5 PRC MDT Metal AICS Magazine - 7 RND work? MDT lists them as long action magazines but I called two gun stores and they said it should work fine. I was also told that if i get the standard 6.5creedmoor magazines without the binder plate I might have feeding issues.

You should have gone with Creedmoor instead of magnum.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I thought short action aics was for 5.56/.223 and other similar length calibers. 6.5prc should have a long action aics chassis. I know the other PRCs are long action but I'm unsure of if 6.5 is too.
