Buy recommendations Is this the best .22 option?

Hey, I am again having the itch to fill the gun safe abit more. Pure investment if you ask me to be fair.

As I cry seeing all my buds in the US with their ARs, I am looking at 22s. Is the TM22 the best price/quality option out there? To be fair im only going to use it for fun because ammo is dirt cheap. Any other choices I should consider?

Feel free to tell me I'm an idiot.

Cheers

The TM22's are nice rifles. What is best for you depends on what you wish to do with it. Personally I would get the all metal version instead of the plastic version. You can do a lot with them. Ruger 10/22's are also a solid choice. You can turn it into anything you want it to be. Both are solid choices.

Price is attractive, spend as much for a sight and honestly "play around" on the range. Ammo is cheap. It would purely for range fun.

If you have no plans to modify it then go for it.

Can you explain why “modifying” changes their plans?

There are many more modifications available for the 10/22 than there are for the TM22. You can not change the body or internals on a TM22 and barrels are not readily available. You can change the body, chassis, internals, barrel and anything else you wish to change on a 10/22. The 10/22 is just much more modular than the TM22 and thus much more modifiable. The 10/22 has also been around for over 75 years so there are more custom parts available.
