u/vARROWHEAD May 26 '26
I personally don’t want one. But all power to people that doo

u/NIBLZ_HAMSTR May 27 '26
Yeah... and $900 bucks... holy crap

u/msdtyu May 26 '26
I think its cool but $900 is kind of steep
17
u/DryF1re May 26 '26
what other novelty firearm are you buying for less than $900 these days?

u/Nice-Background890 May 27 '26
I got the weird folding semi auto from TI for 500$
6
u/Iokua_CDN May 27 '26
Oh how you you like it??
I've been eyeing those up, a semi auto that folds up nice and small. Plus I love TI's lifetime warranty, makes me feel better risking buying a Turkish gun when I know warranty will have my back

It doesn't fold that small at all, the gun is heavy af, and I'm still waiting for the spare parts I ordered with it since December..
Haven't shot it yet sadly.

I got an s-tactical shotgun.. kinda the same idea, for $500. Its fun, but also kinda useless.

I’ve got a trailhand and the recoil is absolutely brutal for me lol .. even mini slugs are wild .. I can’t imagine a 3” shell out of a shorty shotgun. I’ve got a 12GA 45-70 adapter I’m too scared to even try

u/Slow-Register-3836 May 26 '26
Probably. Mostly because of limited selection for our market and they aren't crazy expensive. With that said if we had available what we had before treudau I dont think many people would give these a second look.

u/Scary-Detail-3206 May 26 '26
I bought the non tactical 9” version from TI because it can also shoot 45 ACP. It’s a pain to load 45 ACP though, cuz it takes these little “moon clips” to hold the cartridges in the cylinder. 45 LC shoots great though and it’s actually surprisingly accurate with the red dot I mounted on it.
After about 150 rounds through it I’m happy enough with my purchase. It won’t be a high volume workhorse, but it’s the closest I’ll get to a NR revolver.

u/Bitter_Lettuce2970 May 27 '26
That’s interesting! Accuracy was my main concern with the long cylinder.

All these mini shotguns and tactical revolvers are non-restricted but 22lr plinking pistols are illegal. Make it make sense.

I saw one being sold in a store about a week ago. I didn’t know they could take .45LC but knowing that I could see myself maybe getting the bottom rifle. I’d rather more wood though

u/NeruLight May 27 '26
I didn’t even see the .45 colt at first lol.. imagine listing .410 first haha

u/Carnivorous-Dan May 27 '26
They need to come with a “Mind the gap” sticker

Looks fun, I probably won’t buy one. At least not anytime soon, other stuff on the list I would rather have first

u/NeruLight May 26 '26
I’ve got an SR-45 and I can shoot .38 special out of it. I can shoot 8 calibers in fact. 😎 .45 colt really does blast too. (I like the revolver format). It’s good for me because it feels robust enough.
3
u/HappyCan7250 May 27 '26
How can you shoot 38 spl in a gun chambered for 45LC? A 410 to 38 adapter? I assume the velocity and accuracy is probably not great?
Not trying to sound condescending there, just genuinely curious how you're shooting 38spl in these
2
u/NeruLight May 27 '26
The shooters box .45 colt adapters. I’ve got .38 special , 9mm and .22LR/L/S (sets of 5)
2
u/NeruLight May 27 '26
It’s really pleasant to shoot .38 special. All single action to minimize the potential for light strikes (this is the worst problem with my setup, and it could be the gun). The accuracy is not great but I’m only shooting indoors at the moment. I have like 17 different 12GA adapters as well and depending on the caliber the keyholing with shooters box adapters can be real bad lol
3
u/Iokua_CDN May 27 '26
Wait, 38 special? How does that work?
1
u/NeruLight May 27 '26
I shot a 50 box of federal .38 for the soft primers and had one or two light strikes. Not much keyholing at 5-10 yards kind of thing lol
3
u/Iokua_CDN May 27 '26
They just fit in the cylinder?? Or are you using an adaptor or something? I'm assuming the smaller round doesn't touch the rifling at all
Edit also, what are all 8 calibers???
410 45 acp 45 colt 38 special?
2
u/NeruLight May 27 '26
Yeah you eject them like shells and then tap out the casings. It’s not very convenient and it’s grubby but I actually have fun doing that kind of thing lol I’m a noob. .45 colt, .45 ACP, .410 + .38 special, 9mm, .22LR/L/S. Moonclips are also a bit grubby to use

I don't know how well it'll sell. But revolver carbines are objectively cool, yes.

I'm reminded of r/weirdwheels where a common source of automotive weirdness is trying to get around arbitrary restrictions.

I hope they do! I've heard rumors about a 357 version too.
I have a classic old 410 only version. It's an absolute blast even if ammo is expensive. For 700 bucks, it's a total blast and one of my most unique firearms.
There are some tips to minimize gas. Make sure the stock is nice and long so it's further away from your face. Hopefully have a blast shield, and remove any blast shield on the right side so gas exists that way, and lastly, put an optic on it so that you can keep your face further back. With those 3 things, I find it plenty nice to shoot.

I don't think I would buy a revolver .410 ,bBut recently purchased a lever action .410 and love it.

u/under_hunter82376 May 27 '26
nice gun in my opinion . closest us Canadians will get to a actual revolver .

u/greekdude1821 on May 27 '26
Hope they bring the micro version. The scalpers on gunpost are being nuts with the prices.

u/Outrageous_Order_197 May 28 '26
It be sweet if they made rifled barrels. I can't imagine .45lc performs well out of a smooth bore.
1
u/NeruLight May 28 '26
They’re smooth bore? Well score one for the sulun Sr-45 then I guess. The flip side is that it sprays .410 shot
2
u/NoGrapefruit1213 May 28 '26
I really like the looks of them. Cool novelty if they offered them in differnt calibers like 357, 44 mag or something along those lines would be be interested in buying one but at $1 a round No thanks

I'll certainly add it to my ongoing wish list but until the dust from october plus a SCC decision is made it will remain just that...a wish.

Ya I don’t know man. The gas blowing to your face is probably very unpleasant
1
u/takeme2thezoo May 27 '26
Very cool. But the thought of some kind of mishap happening that blows off my front hand scares me 😅

u/22GageEnthusiast May 27 '26
All of these revolver rifles/shotguns all have the same issue that the gas blowback make them annoying af to shoot. I just stay away from these but maybe one day I'll try one out for fun.

Anyone know what Canuck's revenue numbers are like these days? My guess is that they're making bank.

They're a fun range item as a talking point but they're not very pleasant to actually shoot (lots of gas).
