Shooting Most Fun 22LR Rifle you'd recommend?
So when I bought my Adler Arms 22, I didn't think it would be a lemon.
What 22 cal rifle would you say is the most fun to shoot?

CZ has more aftermarket support if thats your thing! I chose tikka because I have a t3x to go along with it!

10/22's and TM22's are great and all. But neither are as fun to me as my Heritage Rough Rider Carbine lol

Depends on your idea of fun. Do you know what kind of action you want?
I have a lever action browning BL-22 that I call my fun gun. The lever throw on it is really satisfying. It’s not a gun I would put sights on or modify though, so if you’re looking to do that, I wouldn’t recommend.
For bolt-action, the Savage MK II is great and can perform as well as the CZ 457 at 50 yards. The magazines on it kind of suck though and they can have FTE problems.

I have a Henry Lever and a Wildcat. Both are arguably the “most fun” of my rifles because 22 is so cheap, and the Henry can run subsonic ammo.
Personally I give the edge to the Henry as manual actions are just fun, but the Wildcat’s super easy take down to clean and very light weight (and decent irons!) make it a strong contender for most grabbed gun from the cabinet.

Henry lever is lots of fun but reload kind of sucks. Anyone know why 22 levers don’t have side gates? I’m sure there is a good reason. I would buy another 22 levers if I could thumb rounds into the side.

Marlin 1891. You're welcome. Apparently it's because the cartridge geometry and the way you need to cram it into the gate has a tendency to pop bullets out of their shells. The 1891 was only produced for a few years because of this, and few if anyone attempted it ever again.

Depends on your definition of fun. Like using a manual action? Henry Lever or a pump. Like a tactical style semi auto blasting? Custom 10/22.

Came here to say this. Backpackable, reliable, cheap and surprisingly good trigger. Single shot not for everyone but I adore my tdx.

My gevarm E1 is a blast. Only gun I own that can chew through a full magazine of Remington bucket bullets without a hiccup.

I shoot my CZ457 more than my 10/22 but those would be my top 2 choices.

10/22 for close range mag dumping, CZ457 or Tikka T1x for long range. Lobbing .22lr out to 350-400m on steel is stupid fun!

my savage 64 precision was a tack driver at 100 yards also i would only put 15 rounds in the 20 round mag to avoid jams

I got a 64 too. It's great out to 50yd on mine. It opens up a bit more at 100.
Same with the big mags, 15 feeds fine.

My Savage model 3D! Nothing beats a pocket full of ammo and a single shot bolt with irons to put holes in cans/paper.

You'll hear a lot of ruger 10/22, and it's not wrong at all, but I've always had fun with the svelteness of the savage 64.

I love my henry H1 22lr. I just always have a blast shooting it. And with its high capacity it makes plinking a joy. Its accurate and hight quality fit and finish. Cheap and fun to shoot. Can be shot as quick as you can work the action

TM22s are great little guns with some aftermarket up here, nowhere near that of a 10/22, but they're fun tacticool guns for a good price, especially cool we now have the 12" models too.
But a 22lr bolt gun can be a ton of fun too, I recently bought a Springfield 2020 Rimfire and absolutely love it, it's a pleasure to shoot and shoots great groups with CCI SV, but the CZ rimfires are fantastic and have good aftermarket support. I believe you can even buy barrels for the 457 and swap them between 22mag, 22lr and 17hmr fairly easily?
Tikka T1x is also a fantastic rifle
If youre looking for cheap, there's also the 13" bolt action Scorpio for like $230. The accuracy reports on them are actually shockingly good for a Chinese bolt 22, with a 13" barrel (although with 22lr you get almost full velocity still from 13").
The Savage Mk2 and B22 are also good cheap guns, shoot very well for $400. Not as refined as the CZ or Tikka, but it'll do 90% of what they do for half the price.
Just all depends on what you find fun, mag dumping and tacticool, Tm22 is the way to go, want to shoot tiny groups slowly? CZ457 is probably your best option.
Want to shoot pretty good groups for pretty cheap and enjoy bolt guns? Savage Mk2 or B22.
Want to shoot decent groups for VERY cheap? Scorpio EM322

Any Savage Mk2 G. Open sights. Walnut stock, scope mount screws in receiver. The barrel is lighter, not the heavier target barrel, but it was on sale at basspro for 320. Hard to beat!
Or any MK2 really. Want something a little different? Chiappa bootleg bandit. Something more modular? TM22.

Love my 10/22
