Buy recommendations Makasi, Carmel, Both, or Neither?
Both non-restricted 5.56 short-stroke gas piston semiauto accepting Stanag mags. Both taking orders with similar delivery dates. What is your choice and your reasons?
Edit: So to summarize what y'all are saying: - Makasi for AR aesthetics and compatibility, - Carmel for reliability, - Both if you hate money, - Neither because of potential bans.

I ordered both, but recognizing I ran into a lot more disposable income than I ever normally would have.
If I had to pick one it would be Carmel simply because IWI has a proven track record of producing high quality firearms; so I can probably bet good money that the Carmel (which was meant to compete for military contracts) will be more durable and last longer than the Makasi.
