Buy recommendations Makasi, Carmel, Both, or Neither?

Both non-restricted 5.56 short-stroke gas piston semiauto accepting Stanag mags. Both taking orders with similar delivery dates. What is your choice and your reasons?

Edit: So to summarize what y'all are saying: - Makasi for AR aesthetics and compatibility, - Carmel for reliability, - Both if you hate money, - Neither because of potential bans.

I’m waiting to see what the twist in the Carmel is. The Makasi has a 1/7 twist which is too much as I mostly want to shoot cheap 55 and 62 grain 5.56. I’m hoping the Carmel will have a 1/8 or 1/9 twist which I would much prefer
