Looks pretty slick. Reliability?

Very reliable from what I’ve found. Only 1 jam through hundreds of rounds like this. The magazine use to be loose in the magwell which did cause some issues but a bit of strategically placed tape helped it out lol

I’ve got a super similar setup to you minus the fake can and mag adapter (only cause I never managed to get it to run reliably). I find running the “double dot” Eotech (EXPS3-2) with a Vortex 6x magnifier that hits out to 400 are pretty reliable even with chicom surplus.

So this mag adapter didn’t work for you?

Would you mind dropping the build spec kind sir?
I have that chassis and have been drawing up a very similar build.

Funny enough someone asked me to make them a Hush handguard that mimics the black fiberglass mini-14 handguard. Never got to see pics of it cause he sold the SKS shortly after :(

Big pimpin
I thought that was the Hush stock at first. Looks sick af. I did mine up AR style but I may do my second like this with a foldy boy on it and a red dot

The chopped off magwell adapter looks a lot better than the original config. Props for that.

Who makes those mag extensions?
Does the optic hold zero when you lift up the rail for disassembly?

The magazine extensions are made by GSdesigns. They’re the 30 round length. Very sturdy print

u/Embarrassed-Gur1769 May 26 '26
When did you get them? I sent them an email to ask if they are still in business and got no reply

For the Kodiak optics rail, does it need that key ring at the rear takedown pin? I noticed others have it but yours doesn’t.

u/Chetsker May 25 '26
No I never found a need for getting something like that. It locks in tight when the screw is fully bolted in

You gotta drop the build and price 😍

Did you have to do much or any work on the hush holster stock to get the mag adapter to fit? I know most of the adapters need receiver work, but I'm curious about the stock.
2
u/Chetsker May 30 '26
Yes, I had to carve the magwell opening a little wider to fit the adapter. You also have to make a deeper notch where the magazine release is so that can function

That's an awesome build!
