That's an awesome build!

Thanks!!

Is that an "airsoft" buttstock by any chance? It looks familiar.

5

u/Chetsker May 25 '26

lol yeah. 5ku brand I think. Surprisingly sturdy. May upgrade to magpul UCS

You may also want to look at the WOOX 1913 stocks, as they may match your rifle's aesthetics nicely. There is a solid wood one, and an aluminum one with a. Wood cheek riser and wood insert in the butt plate.

I got the same one. Seems to be plenty sturdy enough for the job, even if it needs a bit of oil on the moving parts.

I’m gonna pick up a ICS for my next rifle that has a pic back end but if you like the one you currently have and want a non-airsoft version, Delta Designs makes a great one. It’s what I run on my Hush setup.

Have they released new ones? Last I checked they were still sold out

1

u/some_guy2024 May 25 '26

No idea. I got mine quite a while back. It’s a nice solid piece of kit though.

Looks pretty slick. Reliability?

6

u/Chetsker May 25 '26

Very reliable from what I’ve found. Only 1 jam through hundreds of rounds like this. The magazine use to be loose in the magwell which did cause some issues but a bit of strategically placed tape helped it out lol

u/some_guy2024 May 25 '26

I’ve got a super similar setup to you minus the fake can and mag adapter (only cause I never managed to get it to run reliably). I find running the “double dot” Eotech (EXPS3-2) with a Vortex 6x magnifier that hits out to 400 are pretty reliable even with chicom surplus.

So this mag adapter didn’t work for you?

1

u/some_guy2024 May 26 '26

No, could get it to feed reliably. Went back to duckbills.

2

u/Beneficial-Focus3702 May 26 '26

Mind if I DM you?

1

u/Beneficial-Focus3702 May 26 '26

Ah dang. That’s a bummer!

Just busted to this

u/Mercrantos2 May 26 '26

Hard to do when you're limited to 5 strokes

2

u/Officialtopperharley May 25 '26

Looks great! What are we looking at with this build?

2

u/ShiftyActuall May 25 '26

Cool as hell!

2

u/bermpan May 25 '26

Would you mind dropping the build spec kind sir?

I have that chassis and have been drawing up a very similar build.

2

u/Chetsker May 25 '26

Here is the spec build for everyone asking.

-Hush holster stock -5ku cheap airsoft stock -XCR-L 10 round mags with GSdesigns 30 round extension -Kodiak defense SKS-101 scope rail -feyachi weapons light. Unsure which model -EOtech XPS3-2 holosight -TNA reverse fake suppressor with brake and adapter -camo tape from Canadian tire

Next additions: -magpul UCS -adding a Draco dong-like vertical grip

"mom I want m14"
"we have M14 at home"
M14 at home

Funny enough someone asked me to make them a Hush handguard that mimics the black fiberglass mini-14 handguard. Never got to see pics of it cause he sold the SKS shortly after :(

1

u/Benefit_Waste May 25 '26

Wish the m14 wasn’t banned. Sounds cool though!

2

u/PepperAndFrens May 25 '26

Big pimpin

I thought that was the Hush stock at first. Looks sick af. I did mine up AR style but I may do my second like this with a foldy boy on it and a red dot

what I needed to brighten my Monday .

2

u/DeathReaperNinja May 25 '26

The chopped off magwell adapter looks a lot better than the original config. Props for that.

2

u/Chetsker May 25 '26

Looks so much better when there no mag in it too

2

u/Playful_Gate3999 May 26 '26

I dig the t-shirt

Thanks so much. I’m very happy with it

1

u/Embarrassed-Gur1769 May 25 '26

Who makes those mag extensions?

Does the optic hold zero when you lift up the rail for disassembly?

2

u/Chetsker May 25 '26

I’ve found it does hold a zero very well, even when lifting the rail up

1

u/Chetsker May 25 '26

The magazine extensions are made by GSdesigns. They’re the 30 round length. Very sturdy print

1

u/Embarrassed-Gur1769 May 26 '26

When did you get them? I sent them an email to ask if they are still in business and got no reply

1

u/Chetsker May 26 '26

Sometime late last year

1

u/Embarrassed-Gur1769 May 26 '26

Damn, he may of went under

1

u/marston82 May 25 '26

For the Kodiak optics rail, does it need that key ring at the rear takedown pin? I noticed others have it but yours doesn’t.

1

u/Chetsker May 25 '26

No I never found a need for getting something like that. It locks in tight when the screw is fully bolted in

1

u/squishydonut16 May 25 '26

You gotta drop the build and price 😍

3

u/Chetsker May 25 '26

Can you really put a price on happiness? (I’m in crippling debt)

1

u/squishydonut16 May 26 '26

It’s beautiful I need to know the build

1

u/sr4004 May 25 '26

Need that shirt. Innawoods :)

1

u/Chetsker May 25 '26

New merch from true north arms. High quality shirt for $25 I think

1

u/escv_69420 May 25 '26

aww yeah sweet, sliced the ugly off the TNA magwell! Still works well?

2

u/Chetsker May 25 '26

Yes still works great. Had to adjust the tape to get a solid lockup

1

u/Impressive_Track_199 May 27 '26

Are silencers allowed?

1

u/LHQuist May 29 '26

Did you have to do much or any work on the hush holster stock to get the mag adapter to fit? I know most of the adapters need receiver work, but I'm curious about the stock.

2

u/Chetsker May 30 '26

Yes, I had to carve the magwell opening a little wider to fit the adapter. You also have to make a deeper notch where the magazine release is so that can function
