Recurring Canadaguns Politics and Debate Thread

Please post all your Gun Politics or Ban-related ideas, questions, initiatives, comments, suggestions, news articles, and recommendations in this thread. This thread recurs every 14 days.

First and foremost, this is a Canadian Gun subreddit, so keep it at least decently related to both of those things.

This thread is not for general politics, there are plenty other subs that are meant for that. Off-topic threads may be removed, especially if they are leading to personal attacks, flame wars, etc.

To prevent the main sub being flooded with dozens of similar threads, text posts complaining about/asking about/chatting about gun politics will be sent here.

We understand that politics is a touchy subject, and at times things can get heated. A reminder of the subreddit rules, when commenting, where subreddit users are expected to abide.

Keep this Canadian gun politics related and polite. Off-topic stuff, flame wars, negative generalizations against groups, personal attacks and gate-keeping will be removed. Please flag any comments to bring to the attention of mods otherwise exercise your upvoting and downvoting ability.

With the recent post about how police are participating in the buyback, don’t yall love just how free our country has become!

Look how owning once legally obtained property can now ruin your life for no compensation. Our own democratically elected (with stolen majority) government is dead set to ruin the lives of its own citizens at a time we need to be united. Oh Canada, we’re so cooked 🤦🏽

>(with stolen majority)

Erm, sweaty... didnt you know concerted efforts to create floor crossers enough to change the outcome of elections was a common and accepted feature of our robust DemocracyTM more than 5 minutes ago?? Literally everyone knows this. On top of that, LITERALLY everyone votes for the person and not the party you dumd dumb. Why do maple maggot conservitards literally hate Democracy?

pushes glasses up with single finger, lens glare

Well actually in the Westminster parliamentary system, this is completely acceptable since they represent their constituents, never mind the fact the moment they floor cross they shut down their office, shut down their social media and stop taking calls from said constituents, no no please ignore that. This is the system working. Heeeer durrr elbows up

This! So much this!

Also, whenst our god Carney needed to reassure everyone that Marylin Gladue would have to renounce her previously held beliefs, beliefs that she had held when her constituents put her into office, and vote with her new party, this doesnt actually contradict any of the pathetic gaslighting we are engaged in! It just proves that we are Good PeopleTM and on The Right Side of HistoryTM, you stupid chud. God, go take a 7th grade civics course!
