Recurring Canadaguns Politics and Debate Thread

Please post all your Gun Politics or Ban-related ideas, questions, initiatives, comments, suggestions, news articles, and recommendations in this thread. This thread recurs every 14 days.

First and foremost, this is a Canadian Gun subreddit, so keep it at least decently related to both of those things.

This thread is not for general politics, there are plenty other subs that are meant for that. Off-topic threads may be removed, especially if they are leading to personal attacks, flame wars, etc.

To prevent the main sub being flooded with dozens of similar threads, text posts complaining about/asking about/chatting about gun politics will be sent here.

We understand that politics is a touchy subject, and at times things can get heated. A reminder of the subreddit rules, when commenting, where subreddit users are expected to abide.

Keep this Canadian gun politics related and polite. Off-topic stuff, flame wars, negative generalizations against groups, personal attacks and gate-keeping will be removed. Please flag any comments to bring to the attention of mods otherwise exercise your upvoting and downvoting ability.

Impossible for me to legally buy a handgun as a licensed individual but a criminal can go and obtain whatever they want. Surly bans working as intended…

There was also the one video going around of a guy in B.C. shooting a SKS into the air with an unpinned mag, also in the video this goof shows he has a bulletproof police vest that actually says police on it

This government needs to get it's shit together and start cracking down on actual criminals. 

Literally for over a year now the LPC keeps screaming about bail reform coming, they've had A FUCKING YEAR!! 

I've noticed they haven't brought it up lately, I suspect maybe the bail reform has quietly been dropped. Sucks too that they've taken over committee and started silencing them as well.

Looks like Carney may end up losing his majority though after all, lots of discontent in cabinet and caucus and a lot of incompetent folks in there too.

A story came out the other day saying that even foreign diplomats have started complaining that this government and ministers are incompetent. Pretty embarrassing, but our media will continue covering for them, and the L-Bozos up folks will continue screaming "But Harper! But Polievre!"

It's honestly astounding that Canadians will keep voting against their own prosperity and safety for the sake of "but at least it's not the Conservatives!"

That video is confirmed to have been filmed in the US, not Caledon or wherever.

Not sure about that one, I meant the one of the guy with a switched Glock
