Gun and gear reviews CZ Trail .223

I like this thing a lot, especially with the stock replaced. Only shooting at 20m but for me that’s a pretty good group, (20 rounds). Really need to find a spot to see how that would translate at 100m or more.

Only gripe I have is that it will not feed from aftermarket mags, no issues with the CZ mags. I have 4 of the CZ mags so not a big deal, kind of annoying though.

It likes heavier ammo, 55g doesn’t group well, pretty much just shoot PMC Xtac 77g OTMs now.

Running Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8 LPVO, G-Ten pictanny stock adapter, Midwest Industries folding stock, Surefire war comp + blast warden

Nice rifle, Definitely cool to see others upgrading the stock.

I wouldn't focus much on groups that close, need to be 100m to get a good idea of its true accuracy

Changing out the stock on my x39 trail took it from 1.75” groups to sub 1” groups at 100 yards, with decent ammo of course.

I still mostly shoot Chinese surplus for 1.5-2” groups, that’s good enough for ringing steel and the price is right.
