Gun and gear reviews Sunday new gun day

ISSC SPA on clearance at CSC, wasn't much info about em besides the huntinggearguys review from 6 years ago. Took a gamble and it paid off! This thing is awesome and super accurate. No sling attachment points is kinda lame but I'm sure it can't be too hard to install. Otherwise a fantastic lil toggle action.

I love me a straight pull! Nice stock too, I only ever recall the polymer option. What sort of groups were you getting, ammo, distance, etc?

Yeah the synthetic was $100 cheaper but I'm a sucker for some wood. I only shot it at 50 so far and I wasn't trying to shoot amazing groups I was just excited to shoot so I didn't actually pay attention to proper groups. But I think if you eliminate user error it could shoot sub moa at 50. I was just trying to get thru a bulk box of Remington I got for free and it shot pretty good when it would cycle. Also tried the green box ELEY and those were real nice.

This is going to be my grouse gun so I'm trying to learn to shoot standing up/crouching. I been pampering myself on the bench rest lately and idk if I could hit a grouse if it were 10ft away currently haha

Cheers, thanks for the info! That's a surprisingly nice stock, you made the right call for sure.

Haha that's a good thing to be aware of. I too was a spoiled bench shooter for many years. It's humbling going back to unsupported/positional shooting but it's an important skill to have. I like to practice standing supported shots, I use the uprights along the firing line to simulate bracing against a tree. The support hand can be used to form a stable shelf to rest the forend on. Dropping into a deep "Slav squat" and resting both elbows on your knees also works well for me. Best of luck with the grouse!
