Misc I screwed up
My original gun build plan was a tikka ctr truetimber 6.5 creed 24'' from cabelas and a cadex field competition chassis. I bought the chassis as a special order yesterday only to find out that the tikka ctr truetimber is soldout in the country.
Now I can only get the 20'' ctr which is 100fps less than the 24'' and I am mad at myself. Does anyone know where I can get a tikka ctr 6.5creed in 24 inch barrel?

Can you cancel the Cadex order? The ACE chassis is really good for a factory gun

I can try. If i do end up cancelling it I will just go with the tact a1. But I am also looking into hornady superperfomance sst 129gr.

The Tikka Ace Target is superior to the Tact A1 in every measurable way. Most notably the Ace Target has the heavy barrel (tact A1 does not) and of course the ARCA rail integrated into the chassis.

I think your best bet is going to be buying the cheapest action you can find and spin a barrel on.

Look, the issue here is we have no idea if you're advertising your own sale or not, and I've personally seen redditors entire accounts banned by site admins for this.
Nothing that can even be potentially (mis)construed as an advertisement should be posted.

You're mad about 100 FPS on a 6.5 bleedmoor? I'm now assuming you organize your projectiles by weight in 1/10 grain increments when reloading

If it was me I would get a T3 sporter, get your chassis and swap the barrel to whatever you want. I’ve had good success with IBI but there are lots of good options

Get a used tikka in 6.5 or 308, 243 or similar short action, and get prefit barrel. Boom you have something better than a CTR.

why are you so concerned about 100fps? i might be mistaken but i thought almost all powders are burnt after 18 inches so the gain is minimal.

I think it's 25fps per inch of barrel. Why am I paying the same price for 100 less fps? It also looks chopped especially with a 5-30 scope that I already purchased

Fellas, I ordered a 24'' CTR in 6.5PRC. Would rather spend a little more on ammo than looking at a chopped ahh gun.

Right after I made this post, I found out hornady as a superperformance 129gr 6.5 creed that can give me free velocity. Can it be used for long range plinking?

Long range plinking and prs. Now Im thinking about getting a 6.5 PRC CTR 24'' instead. Ammo is not THAT much more expensive and it gives more range

Yeah that would be a good choice. A bit more expensive to feed if you want to do PRS where youll be shooting 100 rounds a day~
6mm Creedmore would also be a very, very good choice.

are there magazines that feed 6.5PRC into a short action chassis? I heard the standard SA AICS mags dont work

what about the 300WSM/6.5PRC aics 7 rounders? MDT lists them as long action for some reason, but I called 2 gunstores and they said it should work.

The T3X Super Varmint has a 24” heavy barrel and muzzle thread. May be worth checking out if you cant find the truetimber
