Misc Beretta 1301 Mod 2 Follower Question
Hi All,
I recently purchased a brand new 1301 Mod 2, and the follower is green. Every video on the Mod 2 I’ve seen shows the stock follower as silver.
I was wondering if anyone else received their 1301 with a green follower?
I’m a bit paranoid that I was sold a used gun. But it looks brand new, and there are no blemishes or wear and tear.

The new ones have the cheap steel follower thats been painted, it's sh*t and is coursing lots of issues. It was a cost cutting move, same as the did to the rear sight. Very disappointed to see these as these gun as over $2000. That said our follower we make for the 1301/400 has tripled in sales. Which we are happy with ,but still disappointed in Beretta...

It very well may be they couldn't source the silver, so swapped to the green at factory. I Have seen A400 Extrema that have the green follower, so I personally wouldn't be concerned.

Unrelated question but what do you guys typically do with those short shotguns?
I only have 30" long beretta a400 for clays
IPSC?

I have a long 28" beretta a400 xtreme plus for IPSC :)
For IPSC almost 6x 3.5" shell capacity is godsent for stocking 2 3/4" shells in the tube magazine.
The 1301 is only a for 3" shells which limit the legally allowed capacity. I still prefer more shell loading capacity and a longer & heavier canon with A400 XP Versus a shorter lighter 21" or 24" canon the 1301 has with lower loading capacity.

You can shoot 2 3/3out of the 1301 no problem and you can have 6 in the tube if you get an extension i belive correct me if i am wrong though

Yes i think you are right about this, 6x 2 3/4" shells would fit in the 1301 but for competition more is always better, you lose time reloading.

For ipsc I use the A400 28" with the 3.5" chamber. You can put an extension tube to load less than six 3.5" shells which works out to be seven 2-3/4" shells in the tube. So you can get a total of nine 2-3/4" shells into the gun. I also run a dot and tony system comp, which puts me in modified iirc. I needed to make some modifications to the comp to get it to fit though since it is designed for the 1301 iirc. The overall length of the gun with the comp is a little bit less than the ipsc limit.

Thanks everyone for their responses!
I wonder if maybe its cause these came directly from Beretta in Italy, whereas I believe folks in the US get theirs assembled in the US Beretta factory.
