Cool. I don't understand all the hate. Everyone calling it cope and shit. It's literally a new 9mm manual action firearm. People are like "Fuck off Turkey, we already have enough guns to choose from."

Fr. After the 2025 bans, pretty much all 9mm went out the window. Besides the homesteader and that single shot braced pistol thing. And if ppl think that the homesteader's not going to get banned, they don't know poly. This is a huge gap in the market, idc what country wants to fill it.
Until our gun laws get rewritten by someone with common sense, we should openly embrace literally any new designs coming to our country. We're lucky anyone wants to spend the money on R&D to create firearms that will survive in the Canadian market.
Turkey could easily just continue designing things for the American market and play it safe, but they're seeing the gap in our market, and capitalizing on it, even with the risk of certain ones being banned, and having to be rerouted to the states where there's way more competition.
They're gambling with every model they bring us, and whether it's amazing quality or not, it's something. My 18" tm22 runs mint, after a rough break in period. But for the price it's amazing. Rather that than invest $2500 into something that's obvious ban bait.
Not like we have a lot of options.

Yea I agree I think the homesteader isn't going to last. Part of why I'm not buying one. Or any of the 556 semis we have coming out.
I like what derya is doing. I wish more companies would do that. Unfortunately I think most manufacturers see us as being such a small market, that is also at risk of being banned. Which makes it not worth it.
My only derya is a lever tm22, and it's great fun. I've been thinking about buying a semi tm22 but trying not to buy any new guns ATM.

Ahhh... that's better, but still, $820 for a Derya manual? I get that it's perceived value added as a 9mm centerfire but this thing probably costs no more to manufacture than a TM-22 Pro at the same scale.
Not the $2k for a Sterling R9, but it's no Sterling R9. Interested in real-world reliability and endurance first.

Nah. Iāve lost a lot of interest in anything new coping with current laws. Until the government changes and laws go back to normal I canāt see getting too excited for anything hitting the market.

I bought the original model and SFRC emailed me and told me that due to a logistical error these were sent instead and I wouldnt have to pay the extra bit of cash for it as they would honour the price I paid. Which is perfect because I saw this literally the day after I bought it and had buyers regret that I didnt get the nicer tactical model. SFRC has amazing customer service BTW and im stoked to get out and shoot all my 9mm i had saved for my M1-9.Ā

Yeah, ive taken it out twice and put about 400 rounds down so far. My wife loves it and i find it extremely fun to shoot. My only issue is the stock has a slight wiggle to it but its really not that big of a deal. Quite accurate with the irons too! (Sorry for late reply I just got off my ban lol)Ā

Blazer but you should be fine to feed it whatever. Heads up though the magazines springs are VERY stiff, I could only get 3 or 4 rounds in the first couple mags before it loosened up and accepted the full 10. Now its smooth as butter or at least any of my Beretta magazines. Ā Also when reassembling after takedown you get to a stage where you must put the top of the receiver back onto the bottom, there's a small silver part on the trigger assembly that must be pushed down in order for the bolt to fit (not the hammer itself which will slide behind the bolt...its more to the front of the trigger). Took me a hot minute to figure out that after my initial cleaning and it is not mentioned in the manual!Ā
I hope you like it! My first few years of PAL i was all about the semi's but ive grown quite fond of manual actions. Enjoy and dm me if you have any problems putting it back together, its gonna arrive quite oily.Ā

I donāt see the point of this while the Henry Homesteader is still available.
And yes and I donāt doubt that theyāll both be banned at some point. But considering that the Henry most likely survived the bans because it has wood furniture, it might actually outlive this.
The Henry is a semi, takes Glock mags, and is built by a quality manufacturer. Plus you can ātactical-coolā it if you want with aftermarket options.
If I was cross-shopping the two, other than the Henry being a bit more expensive, I see no reason to get this.

A: More options are never bad.
B: Variety in action type keeps things interesting.
C: A pump action isn't affected as much by things like wacky heavy/light/subsonic handloads, whereas a semi may not cycle.
D: I just think it's neat, man.

Oh dude Iām not criticizing you personally. And I do agree that more options are never a bad thing. I just think objectively, the Henryās a better option.
With that said, to your point as to different ammunition, where I could see some use in this is pest control, specifically with something like CCI birdshot. If you had a use case, like a barn or whatnot, and needed a step up from .22, I could see this having some utility.
However, if youāre going to plink targets with it, like most people will, the Henry is, IMO, the better option.

The main advantages I can think of are the ability to have this in a short barrel config while staying NR and future proofing against eventual changes banning semi autos if we continue down this road.
In general there are very few manual action 9mms so this is still fairly interesting.

I have. Fit and finish is great. Works with factory mags and glock mags with no issues. Pump is smooth and easy to use. It is louder than I expected even with subsonic ammo. I like it and I will have a lot of fun with it.

Precious PCC owners that have a tonne of 9mm but entered the hobby too late for a handgun would enjoy it for sure. Itās the same as a pump action 223.

There is the alternativeĀ view.
Persons living their best Fair Life, inspired by the pump guns at those booths and such.
Folks with their rustic pump 22s looking for a but more Bang, along with the added benefits of a quicker reload.
Folks enjoying racking their pump shotgun nowĀ have a similar feeling option they can use without wrecking their shoulders and wallets on slugs.
Lovers of tiny little short barrel guns now have a 9mm pump to go alongside their shortie bolt actions, mares legĀ lever actions, 410 revolver shotguns and Shockwave 12 and 20 gauge guns.Ā
If you stop looking at them only as a semi auto replacement, you might see them as a fun little fun in their own right. I can go play inĀ the bush with a 12 inch semi auto 9mm, even preban, so for me, this looks like a hoot! ThoughĀ I actually kinda prefer the cheaper uglierĀ straight stockĀ versionĀ specifically because it looks less like a PCC semi auto wannabe.

I have several semi 22LRs. I love my TM-22, for example, as well as the classic 10/22. However, 9mm is also fun and still cheap, and you can dabble in reloading it. If you don't want one, neat! That's your preference, and I respect that.
I, however, like this thing.

It's the lightest repeating centerfire rifle readily available on the Canadian market, and (if the stated weight is correct) only about as heavy as most .22s. Hard to argue with less than 5 pounds with dot or micro-prism.
It'll be a good youth rifle, a good pack rifle (in ways a shotgun that light isn't), and just a general gallery gun that's better than the revolver carbines or .410s on offer. So will the bolt gun be, when it comes out.

Gallery gun with cheaper ammo is 100% how i see it.Ā I have the 410 revolver,Ā and it's near the same price with no rifled barrel so meh accuracy and expensive 410 ammo, and only 5 round capacity.Ā
This with cheap 9mm ammo, rifling for better accuracy and 10 round magazines seems awesome to me!
Edit,Ā I wonder if this did well enough,Ā if they would do a 10mm version. I prefer the 9mm for cheap target shooting but I can see others enjoying the 10mm as an outdoor gun with a bit more power

This looks like a fun range toy, and at the price, I'm definitely getting one. 9mm is affordable range ammo too.
This gun fills a need and hits a price point for some of us that have multiple expensive hobbies.
The way some people are shitting on this for not being semi auto makes no sense. It's like shitting on someone for driving a stick shift instead of an automatic transmission.

Things are ever so slightly starting to look up for us, between the Mk15, the Carmel, some pump 9s. I also saw a new Alcor the other day with a factory Mlok handguard is out now, which I actually kind of liked the look of.
Who knows, maybe for once there is good times ahead for us.

Sights are adjustable for windage and elevation. I have been using all 9mm, even garbage reloads. No issues. Be sure to check the main hold down bottom the receiver. Mine worked loose.

Condolences to anyone who bought the standard version. This one is only about eighty six bones more and doesn't look like a dollar store dart gun.
