Misc Moving with restricted/prohib

Hey all,

Im military and am moving a couple hours away due to a posting from one base to another (same province). I have restricted and prohibited firearms. The issue is that my closing date for my current house is a few days before my possession date of my new house. I have to stay in a hotel for the 3 days in-between. Has anyone ever experienced this? I cant be the first... Do I get an ATT to my hotel one day and an ATT to my new residence once I have possession?

Thank you

Talk to the CFO, obviously. But they don't really care too much. Put your travel dates down as when you leave and when you take possession. They'll consider the firearms as being transported for that time. Me too, when I was posted there were a couple days in-between. I even put down that I'd be staying at my in-laws. They emailed me, asking to call, and we're like "what's with this extra address?" I explained that I was staying there (would be the same for you while at hotels) and they said it was unnecessary. The ATT covered everythkng between the two addresses between the two dates.

As for the prohibs, yeah....they know all about that and again, they hardly care. Because your ATT is for a change of adress, it's all covered.
