Misc Tight TM22 15 round mags?

Has anyone bought any 15 round magazines for the TM22 lately? I just got 2 in the mail and they are a really tight fit in my 18" pro. They are loosening up a little as I keep putting them in and out but has anyone else run into this?

Same situation for me!

I bought five 15-rd mags from The Shooting Centre in Calgary. All five are too fat by X micrometers to fit the mag wells in both my 16" and my 18" Tm22 pro rifles :(

Also: that angled notch at the rear-top of these magazines is also too small on these 15-rd magazines.

Good news:

I took a metal hand file to one of these chubby magazines. After an hour of manual filing and producing a decent pile of plastic dust, that one magazine does successfully fit in my rifles. Whew.

I'm going to use a Dremel sanding tool to reshape these four other fat magazines.

Update: the dremel tool with sanding drum attachment and lowest speed setting did the trick!

1) I sanded approx. 0.25mm off the front flat face of the magazine.

2) then I sanded approx. 0.25mm off the rear flat face of the magazine.

Net result: the magazine = 0.5mm skinnier front-to-back and it fits smoothly into the TM22 mag well.

Taking my time, it took 8 minutes of dremel sanding work to whittle one mag.

P.s. I bet a belt sander could do this whittling work in 30 seconds

Did you just hit that back notch area? When I compare to the 10rd mags that’s the only difference I can see

I sanded the entire vertical back face and the entire vertical front face. (the angled notch portion has no effect on derya tm22 fitment; that notch is made for the lever action derya).

This photo shows the first 30% of my sanding work, where I removed material from the back vertical face below the notch.

After I took this photo, I then sanded the same face above that notch.

Then I sanded the front vertical face after that.

Really appreciate your follow up man thing had me stressed I force shoved it in and could barely pry it out.. when comparing the 15 to my other 10or25s they don’t look that much off but considering you only did 30% of it in that photo means I got a lot to shave down still lol thanks again
