This shouldn't be shocking.

We all knew they were rug pulling and it furthers their goal of killing the culture by skimping on businesses.

If they're willing to do this to businesses, I bet all those people that declared early are gonna get even worse treatment.

I'll say it again, mass non compliance is the only answer.

IIRC, they've already announced something to the effect that provinces who cooperate will get first priority for compensation.

How much do you want to bet that more than 75% of the compensation received by individuals will be paid to people in Quebec?

I have always found this clause to be hilarious:

  • "assault style" parts only, even if they can be installed on other firearms (like an AR15 grip/stock)

  • 200 parts in total, not 200 parts per category. This would be a drop in the bucket considering many stores would stock hundreds of AR15 gas tubes alone.

It's such a tiny drop in the bucket in terms of "compensation", it's hard to not feel like Public Safety Canada is mocking business owners.

they don’t give a shit about safety at all. just pure control

The point is vengeance.

Nathalie is a holy warrior on a crusade.

Unholy

Pretty sure it starts with a C

See you next Tuesday?

provost is a scumbag using 30 year old events to justify her ridiculous crusade

u/Critical-Ad4665 May 22 '26

Closer to 40, it happened in 1989, she obviously never got the therapy she needed.

3

u/Natural_Comparison21 May 22 '26

They are aging out and they are starting to panic. They only got a few decades left and then that’s that.

u/weneedafuture May 21 '26

This is really appalling policy. From origin to implementation, this has been an absolute joke and should really be harangued more by our press and other parties.

49

u/pahtee_poopa May 21 '26

It’s because the general public and mainstream media don’t care about our minority voices. It’s unfortunate, but the reality is that it affects so few Canadians in general and the fact that this is still a wedge issue, we aren’t getting any sympathy. Even though it is an egregious violation of our property rights.

26

u/ADrunkMexican May 21 '26

Well it's starting to gain at least a little traction thanks to BC.

2

u/Birdybadass May 22 '26

Can you elaborate? I am not familiar with anything new in BC.

3

u/ADrunkMexican May 22 '26

Something something treaty rights.

2

u/rangedehinc May 22 '26

They do care. Just not our minority.

2

u/Natural_Comparison21 May 22 '26

That’s why we need more PAL holders. What I am doing is money I earn from online surveys I give to people to do there pal course. The more pal holders the better. Let’s get those numbers up higher and higher.

We're not getting compensated at all since we're not participating.

If there wasn't a limit we'd be sending them thousands of gas key screws and getting $8/ea.... (they cost about $0.10/ea from McMaster Carr)

u/EnggyAlex Alex's Homebrew May 21 '26

put a single layer of carbon fabric on scrap barral blanks with super glue=$700!

52

u/GhostOoOooo May 21 '26

SpectreBASEDllistics

13

u/ilikefixingthingz May 21 '26

Or a "Telescoping Butt Stock" 302.50$ on the list, 15$ at most shops for a mil spec stock....

7

u/PrestigiousStatus711 May 22 '26

Thank you for not participating.

4

u/Spydude84 May 21 '26

Seems like you should send them 200 gas key screws lol.

8

u/Remarkable_Vanilla34 May 21 '26

The problem is they won't tell us what they "bought back", they will just announce the thousands of parts they bought back and celebrate it as a big win. This is just an angle their trying to work to declare the program a success.

1

u/Lumindan May 22 '26

No because that still feeds their metrics.

Give them nothing.

59

u/DwayneGretzky306 May 21 '26

Supreme Court needs to rule on this sooner rather than later.

17

u/jimmythemortician May 21 '26

The Supreme Court will rubber stamp whatever the Liberal Government decides.

4

u/bananahammock_69420 May 22 '26

The federal court did that, if the SCC was going to they would have ignored the CCFR petition and that would have been the end of the appeals.

4

u/Natural_Comparison21 May 22 '26

I have said it before and will keep saying it. If the SCC was going to not do anything different they would not even see the appeal. Yet they chose to. That speaks volumes.

2

u/jimmythemortician May 22 '26

Not really. The Liberals need the the Supreme Court to rubber stamp this garbage to make it seem legitimate.

7

u/Natural_Comparison21 May 22 '26

The rubber stamp is literally just denying the appeal. As denying a appeal states that you agreed with the precious courts ruling.

48

u/Murray3-Dvideos May 21 '26 edited May 21 '26

What an absolute scam. Im a puny insignificant business by comparison to most and even im sitting on 4 times that amount.

Need to start slandering the Liberals harder on social media about the absolute rip off this whole ordeal is.

The Liberals play it down as negligible compared to the issues that the rest of Canada is facing but in reality it isn't. A million plus Canadians threatened jail time for not sacrificing 10s of thousands of dollars worth of their property SIMPLY TO GAIN A COUPLE SEATS IN QUEBEC.

Gotta pressure Carney to drop it or walk the talk and shell out Billions.

26

u/0672216 May 21 '26

Worst part is that nobody outside the firearms community or some anti-gun zealots care about this at all. Not sure this disaster of a program is swaying any ridings towards the LPC in Quebec or elsewhere lol.

Politically speaking, I think they would gain a lot more by scrapping this whole thing. I know of a few people who could’ve voted liberal but didn’t because of this single issue.

Just stupidity all around.

41

u/goshathegreat May 21 '26

This buyback program needs to be stopped, they aren’t even going to get back 5% of the prohibs out there…

36

u/swift_gilford May 21 '26

Isn't this part of the current appeal thats happening because we're arguing the buyback/compensation was offered in bad faith because pretty much everyone (civilian and business alike) isn't going to get anywhere close to what was 'promised'

31

u/FAMOUS0612 May 21 '26

It's all a scam by this criminal government

4

u/Who_Am_AI_YouTube May 21 '26

History repeats itself. Standing ovations should be the tell, yet no one seems to have eyes or memories…

23

u/barthammer May 21 '26

Nothing but theft with extra steps. But it's OK because it's for the "greater good" or something.

LOSERS.

22

u/CalibreMag May 21 '26

I know of at least one business that was told by ASFCP staff last year that the only way to get compensated for their parts in excess of 200 pieces was to assemble them into rifles and then submit the complete guns for compensation.

A cynic might think this was being done to bolster the number of firearms Public Safety can claim.

16

u/FreonJunkie96 May 21 '26

To the surprise of nobody, the rug pull begins.

17

u/DougMacRay617 May 21 '26

Hey look the government is fucking over the people the industry they want to destroy... what a suprise

41

u/DoYouGetSarcasm May 21 '26

Lol, get fucked participants.

18

u/conanap May 21 '26

Well businesses are kinda fucked and forced to participate… I feel bad for them. Businesses are a huge part of our hobby, and without enough of them, our prices will start sky rocketing

9

u/stephenhoskins32 May 21 '26

Are they forced to participate? Why dont they just deystroy their inventory?

9

u/conanap May 21 '26

because that's an insane amount of money to lose? They'll probably go under if they just destroyed all of them, and then suddenly you and I will have a lot less stores to choose from, and they can set whatever price they want once most competitions are gone.

4

u/jimmythemortician May 21 '26

They're not going to get any money.

1

u/conanap May 21 '26

Not anymore lmfao

2

u/rangedehinc May 22 '26

Never were going to get any

7

u/Lumindan May 21 '26

There's business accounts in this very thread who aren't participating

6

u/conanap May 21 '26

Good for them, we should support them more. Expect every business to just be able to swallow that cost is unrealistic.

10

u/Weak-Coffee-8538 May 21 '26

Rug pullers. Don't give them shit.

9

u/CallousDisregard13 May 21 '26

What a FUCKING scam this shit continues to be

7

u/Top_Importance6216 May 21 '26

hahahahahaha fuck off literaly 0 inventive to comply.

mass non-compliance from businesses and individuals is the only path forward.

6

u/guestpassonly May 21 '26

so they are screwing companies too

5

u/KorporalKarnage May 21 '26

Paging Judas, come in Judas...

8

u/HappyCan7250 May 21 '26

I mean, fuck them for doing this to businesses. They're trying to crush the industry as best they can it seems.

But, at least a lot of these parts for ARs can find homes in MRAs and SARs, as there's a lot of part compatibility.

AR bolts fit both rifles I believe, just not BCGs. Will AR15 bolts be prohibited devices at some point? It's very convoluted. What about AR triggers? I bought one a while back for an SAR, and plan to reuse it in the MK15 when it shows up, as I believe it's still milspec.

I cant wait to watch this crash and burn in october! I'm honestly sort of looking forward to October to watch this shit show unfold. It's going to be hilarious.

Still no plans I believe announced for how they're even going to collect?

2

u/Natural_Comparison21 May 22 '26

October might get post poned again as the court could just you know. Do a injunction making it even more delayed.

9

u/alphawolf29 May 21 '26

200 parts limit? ok, I will only submit 200 parts.

4

u/julienjj May 21 '26

😂😂😂😂

2

u/ViagraDaddy May 21 '26

Non compliance is the only answer.

2

u/rangedehinc May 22 '26

Well... hopefully they gober decides which parts get compensated.  Judas goat as CSAAA will get compensated for 200 detent springs 🤣

2

u/QuicknSleazy May 23 '26

Anyone that folded and declared are going to get what they deserve, they were warned by the ones in cape Breton of the lies and that they would get even less then what they were told. They should have got zero compliance from all of us. I’m proud of everyone that never gave in, for the rest that did… you know who you are and are a cuck

2

u/MaintenanceCoalition May 23 '26

If they arnt careful these parts will end up on the black market and in the hands of criminals. If companies/citizens arnt going to get fairly compensated, they will find a buyer elsewhere.

4

u/DWiB403 May 21 '26

Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of sell outs.

2

u/milanskiv May 21 '26

I never understood this attitude. I am not a business with banned inventory but if my local gun shop had 100s of thousands of dollars in banned inventory I would want them to have a way to get their money back so that they can remain my local gun shop and not shut down.

2

u/Dickastigmatism May 21 '26

I wonder if any shops tried reaching out into the States to sell inventory or if that would've even been allowed.

1

u/DWiB403 May 21 '26

I have never felt industry has really been part of the community. Many existed to take our cash, but would be MIA when push came to shove. When the ban was announced, I got the impression they took a rich deal so the government could point to a story about compliance to justify furthering the confiscation. Now that they are not needed by this government anymore, they are getting pennies.

With that, let me be clear, its not solely industry's fault. That blame rests squarely on self interested Fudds who supported confiscation all the way along. Until it was their turn, of course.

1

u/China_bot42069 May 22 '26

So who is going to send this to the media and call them out. Or should we all just call the contact number and let them have it

1

u/Whispersfine May 22 '26

So, those parts are insured, right?

All I am saying is, do they realize that they are encouraging people to make illegal attempts to save their money? At least give these people a chance to sell to the south?

Killing a business and throwing more people off the bus is the plan?

Bonkers

1

u/Cwwchester- May 22 '26

Just sell the parts as a kit to customers I would pay for a spare kit for a prohib minus the receiver. Hell..just keep the receiver and offer it back if it became NR again.

1

u/pictou May 21 '26

Anyone who participated in this deserves what they got. This government are evil and untrustworthy. Was pretty obvious they would screw over any legal gun owners they could.

-1

u/Dependent_Account603 May 22 '26

Imagine them banning slavery and you only get compensated for 10 slave chains not the 1000 you now have
