Gun and gear reviews Ross M10.
Howdy folks ! First time gun owner and I received this gun from my late grandfather. Can anyone tell me more about it ? I'm gonna take it in and get it looked at before I shoot it.
Any suggestions, comments or concerns ?
I'm pretty stoked, lot of history in this rifle from what I've read.
Thanks !

Get proper screwdrivers to disassemble the thing. Brownells sells a set. Make sure the screws are tight (and that you have used the correct ones)- if they aren't, you'll blow a scab out of the top of the wrist when the assembly impacts it under recoil.
It is possible if you are completely fucking stupid to put the thing back together wrong if you remove the bolt from the carrier (yours doesn't have the rivet in it). There are a few YouTube videos detailing this, but don't stress out about it- you have to be actively trying to do it wrong and you can visibly see it not locking.
Don't set a goal to refurbish this. Rosses are better rifles in sporter configurations anyway. Sure, maybe if you really want to fix that compression damage in the stock you could do it, but if it ain't broke don't bother.
